"Even if it is as you say, I have lost my memories now and I can't be of any help to you." Kai admitted. "But I am grateful for your assistance at this time."

"What I don't understand is why you are here at the dead of winter. This is a long way from home for you."

"Are you really a computer hacker?" Kai asked him.

"I know I don't look it but that is because the hacking is done using my supernatural power. I can communicate with technology and make it do my bidding. I am an army commander so I train a lot which is why I look like this." Jiang Ye said to explain why he doesn't look like a nerd since he is a hacker and controls computers.

"That makes some sense I guess." Kai said not that much interested but is only slightly curious.

"You said that one of your people is injured and that is why your team is stuck here?" Kai bring the topic to their journey.

"Yes. Lu Feng is one of my most trusted allies and I wish to heal him but his injury is too serious. A metal zombie cut open his stomach with its scythe like arms. This resulted in Lu Feng being injured and almost infected with the virus."

"I wish I can help you heal your friend." Kai admits. This man helped him when he had inconvenienced them with a hole on the wall and they also used medical supplies on him.

They are seated on a table when a bottle of pills appeared out of nowhere startling both into standing up and distancing themselves from the table. The sudden movement from the two of them alerted the others who ran to the place finding the two looking at a small medicine bottle on the table incredulously.

"What happened?" Zoey looked suspiciously at them. Jiang Ye swiftly took the bottle away before more people saw it and just smiled to the others.

"Nothing, you can all go back to your business, we were just messing around." The others just grumble and went away until Zoey, Stan, Wei Mo and the two remained. The room became quiet until it became awkward.

"What are you two talking about?" Zoey watched Kai with a frown but he didn't say anything until she huffed and went away.

"Boss.." Wei Mo spoke but Jiang Ye put his hand on his lips to make him stop talking as if waiting for something. They realized he can tell that Zoe has not left completely but is still eavesdropping on them.

When she finally left, he let out a sigh and tells them to sit taking out the small bottle and put it on the table. He explained how the bottle just came out of nowhere between him and Kai a moment ago.

"Maybe someone put it here by mistake through a supernatural ability." Wei Mo suggested.

"Teleportation?" Jiang Mo doesn't think so.

"Perhaps of we find out what the pills can do we can figure it out." Stan said which everyone immediately agreed with.

"I remember thinking about healing your injured friend." Kai said.

"So you think the bottle was created out of nothing by your strong desire for healing Lu Feng?" Jiang Ye doesn't immediately discourage the idea but he is hesitant.

"The bottle came from me."

"Aaaah." Kai screamed and looked around wildly as if to look for someone but soon he realized the voice came from inside his head.

The people in the room looked at him in bewilderment at his sudden movement and shout. "Sorry. I think I still need some rest. Can I go lay down for a while?" Kai looked at the slightly suspicious Jiang Ye who let him go to rest.

The three examine the bottle and afterwards decided to use one pill on the dying Lu Feng because he won't last a night. The moment he took the pill, his body emitted a white light and then the man stayed unconscious after he coughed up black blood.

"I can't believe it worked." Wei Mo marveled at the small bottle with three remaining pills.

Stan examined the man and declared him completely healed. Even the black blood he had coughed up turned out to be the infection of the dirty zombie scythe that had corrupted the wound making it infested. Now that everything is out of the patient's body he is expected to fully heal soon.

Jiang Ye chuckled thinking about his decision to take in Kai to have been the correct choice. He decided not to tell his men that Kai is actually fat brain from before the end of the world. He decided to take Kai with him for now that he is without his memories.

"No one should know about what happened here." He instruct his men as he allows them to take a much needed rest. While he contemplate that he hadn't suspected Kai of deceiving him this entire time and he doesn't understand why.

As a trained agent he should question everything and everyone but Kai made him feel comfortable in his presence somehow and this made his drop his guard against him.

He realized this to be dangerous but Jiang Ye soon discard this thought knowing Kai didn't bother with him when after he had found out that Jiang Ye had hacked him back then as if he had nothing to hide.

Jiang Ye thinks about how he was instructed by the department to find and report Kai's location when Kai made waved with the Payne battery but after Jiang Ye found out that Kai was just a shut in who didn't want to be bothered, he didn't report his location and identity but instead started buying his product from him.

Jiang Ye is not loyal to the government and had always wanted to remain low key but he was found and recruited against his wishes.

They threatened his orphanage with bankruptcy as a result he never found the courage to act but when Kai's family was framed by them Kai acted without hesitation earning his envy at such bravery.

Because of his actions, Jiang Ye wanted to help Kai hide his actions at the time but found that the operation had been carried out so flawlessly that there was nothing to clean up. Jiang Ye was immediately impressed by Kai.

When Kai woke up and he realized it was him, he was happy and wanted to befriend Kai by having him owe him a favor but now Kai saved his friend instead.

In the other room Kai shut the door after entering and started talking to the voice. "Come out!"

The voice chuckles and a small boy comes out. He looks like Kai but with dark blue eyes that have binary codes running up and down like a computer screen. "Master, I can finally come out of the library with your words." The boy looked around the place immediately showing disdain and snapped his fingers cleaning it immediately."

"How about it did I do good?" The boy asked but Kai is still shocked at him for appearing out of nowhere like that.

"Who are you and what do you want?" Kai took a stance which made the boy scoff.

"You have been practicing at least. But this is hardly enough for you to scare me dear master." The boy tries to stand on touch the bed but it seems his form seems to pass through it as if he is some sort of spirit energy.

Kai looked at him "Are you a ghost?"

"You are a ghost!" The boy gasps in shock at his question. "I am an artifact spirit." The boy said with pride. Kai imagines his nose up high and long seeing his immense pride.

"An artifact, what is that?" He asked shocking the boy.

"You don't know?" The boy realized Kai lost his memories and face palmed.

"Is there anyone who loses their memories as much as you?" But then he thinks maybe this is an opportunity for him, he wants Kai to name him so that he will have an opportunity to gain a physical body and live outside of the library artifact.

"Umm...can you give me a name first before we proceed? You are my master and therefore you are the only person who can name me." The boy is incredibly cute.

"How about Philip? And why Am I your master?" Kai thought this name sounded right. The boy jumped in joy, his large eyes looking at Kai as if he has granted him the most important thing.

Coughing to hide his joy, Philip agreed with the name. "You are the owner of the library artifact from which I was born. That is why you are my master. I am only able to come out of the library now because you somehow managed to merge the magic space and the library creating a single magic space with a massive library that contains a lot of knowledge." Phil answered him.

"I somehow merged with the advance liquid chip that you had created and injected into your body. The artificial intelligence in the chip was called Phillip." The boy explained.

"Wait, you were created by me?"

"No, I am combined with your creation. I am like a high functioning computer with a spirit that lives inside your subconscious mind."

"I can look like anything but I chose this look because I look like you." Phillip pointed at an old mirror that Kai hadn't noticed before because it was covered in dust.

Kai saw that he indeed look like the young boy except for the weird eyes running with codes. "I have a magic space with a large library?"

"Yes."

"Can you return my memories?" Kai asked.

"Which memories?"

"What do you mean?"

"I can only return the memories in Phillip's database." He said and snapped his fingers. Kai dropped on the bed unconscious.

His body seemed peaceful as Philip stayed next to him so he can guard him. Kai woke up and looked at the younger version of himself. "So you are the invisible helper?"

"Yes. But now I am Philip and have a spirit body. You should enter your space to check on the twins. They are scared because of the sudden change in there."

Kai entered his space and found it unfamiliar and familiar at the same time. There are more warehouses on one side that he doesn't remember making and a large mountain with several towers and a large garden.

He felt like this place is familiar to him but he decided to check it later as he ran to the castle to check on the twins. "Nate! Vania!" He called out and two short figures came ran towards him.

"Dad."

"Father."

The two called out to him and hugged him as they shook in fear hugging him. "Don't be scared the place was just increasing in side and getting more books." He comforts them.

He ended up spending the entire night reading them stories so they can put the ordeal behind them. Sighing when they finally fell asleep. He didn't feel like checking the library anymore and decided to sleep in the castle with the two babies.

He is saddened by the realization that his memories of them had been wiped out a while ago. What would happen to them in this place if he perished? Will they be stuck here forever? The thought scared him so he decided to leave the kids in the academy when they are old enough.

For now he is not willing to part with them. "Master, you should wake up. The outside world is now the next day." Philip woke him up, the teins are already in their class learning etiquette and primary school knowledge.

He went to see and told them to call Phillip if they wish to venture into the library. They hugged him good bye and agreed.

"I don't remember agreeing to do something like that." Phillip objected.

"I worry they might be lonely here. It is too dangerous to take them outside for now so I need you to keep them company and instruct them on the cultivation path while I try to make them a safer home outside." He said shocking the spirit.

"You want them to be cultivators?"

"Yes. As their father is is my wish for them not to be bullied."

"Is there a way to ensure their safety and exit from this place if I were to perish?" Ki asked

"Since I can now live outside, I don't have to perish alongside you should you die, I will take care of them and I have the ability to take them a way from here." Philip said solemnly.

"Thank you Philip." Kai sincerely thank the spirit. Philip felt guilty for tricking him to release it from the bindings of the contract by granting him a name, he will keep this promise in exchange.

When Kai came out he went downstairs wearing a new set of casual clothes. They look clean and warm, he saw everyone trying to find food so they can eat. "I finally got my memories back last night." He declared.

"Oh? Then would you enlighten us on where you are headed?" Zoey asked scornfully. She didn't believe that he had lost his memories to begin with. Kai looks clean as if it is still the time before the world changed. This annoyed Zoey even more.

"To the Zhan base here." He took out this bracelet and showed a map location on the screen shocking the people into standing up.

Kai looked at them and raised his hands in the air. "Problem?" Seeing a tense atmosphere he asked them.

"You have a communication device!" Someone shouts taking out a gun.

"Um...I can assure you my bracelet doesn't eat people." Kai said in bewilderment.

"Kai, this means you may have come to spy on us and report for back up." Stan seems amused by Kai's ignorance.

"Why would I need back up?" Kai asked. This question may have different meanings to others. It can sound like he is strong enough to kill everyone here or it can mean he didn't understand why he will need to call for backup. 

Their reaction made Kai feel like whatever their mission is must be highly classified. There are also people who want to ensure they don't succeed. 

"Forget it. Everyone lower your weapons." Jiang Ye suggested but Zoey didn't budge.

"Zoey what are you doing?" Jiang Ye seems annoyed by this. It seems this woman wants to die sooner rather than later. 

"Where did his fully functioning smart bracelet come from because the one he was wearing is right inside the trash can." She asked coolly.

"Am I obligated to tell you? I am not pointing it at you like a weapon, why should I explain it's origin?" Kai asked annoyed.

"Kai just answer her." Jiang Ye said because he is also curious.

"I have them in my storage space." He took out a small black box and opened it to find a smart bracelet inside. He then returned the bracelet inside his space shocking the people in the room.

"You have space supernatural power?" Jiang Ye didn't expect him to be dual ability user.

"I guess. But not really. I have a space item that can store things inside." Kai explained.

"Space item? So others can use it too?" Zoey's eyes shone with greed, not just her all the people looked at him as if they are going to attack him any moment now.

"Sure. But it is not cheap." Kai smiled like a hooligan.

"Where did you get this space item?" Zoey asked

"I developed it, I also found a way to incorporate it into the smart bracelet. Look.."

"What? How can that be possible?" She said in surprise. 

Kai pressed the screen and showed an icon with inventory he put a code and the items in the inventory are revealed to include a sandwich so he took it out by pressing on a retrieve button. It then appeared on the table after he scanned the room to set a destination location. 

The sandwich smelled of eggs and bacon making people greedy. He took a bite and nodded at Jiang Ye taking another sandwich since there are 12 left. Jiang Ye took the sandwich and saw that it is real.

"Did you really make a space inside the smart bracelets?" He asked in complete shock.

"Like you said, I am a genius." Kai smiled.

"I can't believe it. You crazy bastard! You actually did something so incredible. How long ago did you invent it? You really are Fat brain." Jiang Ye asked in excitement.

"A few weeks ago I had been working on the compression of space and working out the perfect formula after we ran the calculations before coding it in the computer." Kai didn't continue to bore them with the details. 

"Think of it as a character in a game. You arm them with items from your inventory, but these items can now be used in real life." Kai advertised his items. 

"You can try it for yourself here." He gave Jiang Ye a box with a new bracelet and a charger. 

Jiang Ye couldn't believe he just handed him something like that for free but there is no hesitation as he takes the bracelet, bonding with it under the envious eyes of everyone. Kai then gave the two doctors one each.

"As you know, bonding with a smart bracelet binds you to it forever, no one else can use it after it becomes yours and if you die it will be destroyed along with everything inside." Kai gave a speech that silenced the greed in everyone's mind.

"Cough cough, what are you going to do in the Zhan base?" Zoey suddenly asked.

"I am going to meet an old friend." Kai sat down and looked at the three people playing with their new phones. He noticed everyone looking at him with hot eyes. They must all wish to have portable space. 

"The important thing is that there is access to the internet." Kai dropped a bomb. Zoey sat directly on the couch behind her is astonishment.
