Gio is back

Diana was celebrating her seventeenth birthday and her boyfriend Gio shipped in a very expensive locket as a birthday gift . Diana was very happy and she went to visit him, they went out on a date and they stayed out till midnight at the beach "I would never leave you" Gio said to her that night "Me too" Diana looked at him suddenly wondering what brought up the topic of leaving. She stared deeply into his eyes and she tried to read his thoughts when he stood up from the sand. Something was wrong and she knew but she couldn't just point out what was wrong so she asked as she stood up "Gio?" He turned to face her "Yes" he looked at her with a facial expression that says a lot about what was happening but she didn't understand " Is something wrong?" She tried to understand his facial expression but she couldn't "No" Gio lied, " Nothing is wrong , why would you say so?" "You just look like youre hiding something from me" "why do you say so?" He held her hand as he walked with her along the coastline " I just have this feeling Gio" "Don't let anything be on your mind , I'm still with you even when I'm not present" She couldn't say anything anymore, she was confused but she decided to keep it to herself . Gio took her home and before letting her leave , he gave her a long kiss which she thought was usual so she didn't bother to ask about it . He watched her enter her house, trying to hide his mixed emotions and he went into his car and drove off.
Presently
Diana was behind the counter as usual dealing with the customers crappy behaviours but she had no choice. It was her only source of income. She had a happy life outside her crappy work.
It was 7pm meaning she had to close . She waited until all the customers left and then she began cleaning up the tables and just then the door of the cafe swung open "we're closed" she sighed as she picked off bubblegum under the tables .
"I don't see a closed sign by the door. It said open" the young man replied . Diana was forced to look up and when she sighted the young man she tears began to well up in her eyes as she looked at Gio in designer clothing from top to bottom, she forced herself to smile at him "How can I help you today?" She asked trying to pretend that she doesn't know him anymore but it wasn't working, teardrops began to tread down her face. Gio frowned and wiped the tears away, embracing her tightly "I didn't mean to leave you like that" "But you did" she pulled away from him "I'm sorry, I really am" "You didn't tell me you were leaving the next day.... A hint would have been nice but, you didn't give me an obvious hint Gio. I thought I was at fault or something but I don't even know anymore" Gio watched as she poured out her feelings, it hurt him seeing her like that but she didn't want to let him console her.
Diana was seriously hurt. Ten years ago he left her and didn't even check on her even once she wondered if she actually mattered to him at all then she saw the locket he bought her on his neck, she thought she lost that locket on the train but she didn't say anything concerning it and she tossed the napkin she was holding on the counter and she walked away , brushing past Gio. He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him. "I saw that expression .The locket is yours, I was on that train too, I was looking at you from afar. I should have met you back then but I didn't because I didn't know how you would have reacted." He sighed " I'm sorry Dee" "Just .... go. Let me think about it" "Take your time Dee." Gio released her hand and left.
