Back In Konoha

Naruto woke feeling a weight press onto his body. Knowing who it was, he gave a firm squeeze to her butt.

Naruto put his clothes on and then stepped outside, strolling toward the direction of the lodgings of Sakura and Sasuke.

Reaching there, he finally saw them, including Kakashi Sensei, walking in his direction. After meeting up, they went towards the bridge.

Gato and his men came as expected in large numbers.

Surprisingly, it was more than Naruto remembered. 'Ah I see… It's because I told Zabuza to abandon his mission. Not getting a reply, he bought more people.'

However, due to Naruto strictly safeguarding the villagers using his shadow clones, Gato's men couldn't threaten them with anything.

"This is the last one." Naruto said, clapping his hands to brush off the dust.

"What a useful ability." Sakura mumbled, looking at the hundreds of Naruto's clones rounding up all the beaten men like some ants at work.

"Indeed it is." A clone of Naruto said, Startling her. "Good thing I have a lot of chakra."

Sakura was speechless at Naruto's clone praising himself. But she knew Naruto had made their work a lot easier, considering he protected all the villagers at the same time. Which none of them could do.

"Good work, Naruto," Kakashi said as Naruto undid all his shadow clones, seeing his work was done. "I didn't even have to do anything thanks to you protecting everyone."

"Hehe, It's nothing much sensei." Naruto said as he scratched his head.

"Good work, Naruto," Sasuke said with a solemn face. "Could you teach me that?"

Hearing his question, Naruto pondered for a while. As it doesn't do any harm, he decided to teach it to Sasuke in their next training session.

"Sure… I don't have any problem with that. ── What about you, Sakura? ... Wanna learn too?" Naruto said, looking at Sasuke and then switching to Sakura's direction.

"YES!" Sakura exclaimed without a second thought, nodding her head furiously; her lips were curled up, forming a wide grin as she daydreamed about god knows what.

"Thank you." Sasuke also replied.

Just as he tried to bow a little, Naruto stopped him, holding his shoulder with one hand.

"That's what friends are for, man. Don't overthink it."

With that exchange over, Kakashi informed us the mission was complete, and they would leave for the village in the evening.

He also said he would handle what to do with Gato, letting us know that we don't have to care about it much.

Naruto had a hunch it might not be pleasant for Gato. However, he didn't care much as it had nothing to do with him.

Kitsune was dumbfounded by the sudden preaching she received from Naruto after asking a simple question.

All the while they were talking, Naruto didn't stop trying to pick out every single leftover noodle piece, like doing some sort of surgery. Only half an hour later did he finally stop it.

"I get it… I get it…." Kitsune spoke after a while, not willing to hear any of his 'ramen philosophy.' "So you are going to talk to those two girls?"

"I guess?" Naruto said, massaging his temples. "─ Within this week for sure."

Kitsune stood up and strode towards him.
