#15 The Rumoured Girl

When I arrived at my classroom, they had already started the usual daily gossip without me. Even so, I still joined in the class' conversation to listen about the topic today. This time, it was a combined conversation with the boys and girls. The topic was about possessions, so we were sharing our possessions and what other possessions others own.

"Hey, have you heard?" Everyone leaned closer to Layla when she whispered. "There's a rumour about a girl next class."

"What is it?"

"Her father just bought her a new car recently. She's not even of age yet, but the vehicle is registered under her name! "

"Seriously?!"

"Shhh!!! Not too loud, please."

We looked at each other, not believing what we just heard. It wouldn't be surprising if she were graduating today but she's only 16, she still has a whole year of school ahead of her, and she already owned a car?
