The Start of a New Beginning (Pilot arc)

The ominous presence frightened all those before it as though icy claws were piercing their chests, forcing them to not know what to do other than look. Sarah attempted to cry for help, but her lack of proper experience enforced great trauma as she is only able to let out a light scream. The beast rose from its great throne and walked towards the goblet with a sharp bone firmly in its grasp. It takes one good look at Kiana's frightened face then proceeds to take a swift swing towards her.

"Don't!" Kyran shouted but in vain as the beast slashes her abdomen causing her to attempt to scream due to the intense pain, but no noise came out.

"Now for the Catalyst." the leader said as he looked at Kyran's frozen face.

Outside the domain in one of the rooms Lewis hears Kyran's cries and instantly gets alerted and runs towards the source of the noise.

"I heard them they're that way!" he shouted as they all heard him.

Kyra is first to respond as she quickly runs with him towards Kyran's location. They notice Sarah's frightened body in front of the doors just sitting there as red light emits from the room. Kyra takes no moment on checking on Sarah's state as she ignores her and quickly enters the domain. Simon takes priority in checking on Sarah's condition as he sees no physical injuries which eases his worries, he then proceeds to shake her as she returns back to her senses.

"What caused this?" he asks as he turns to look into the domain. "What in the!?"

He turns to see the beast's domain which has changed from what he remembers with Kyran being held in one of the cages which rests above a clear giant glass chalice with different engravings which get lighter from the base to the top with clear liquid within it. The beast notices their presence as he turns to see their scared faces.

"There seems to be quite a number of you. You must be the one that executed my beloved pet." the beast says.

"How is this thing able to speak with us." Mike asks.

"I have learned multiple languages throughout my time." the beast says, "I'll allow you to view the ritual on one condition," the beast says yet Kyra ignores him and lunges for an attack which the leader responds by whacking her back with his axe. "Do not disturb."

Kyra gets launched towards the group causing her to collide into Lewis and Mike. The beast then cuts the chain holding Kyran's cage causing it to drop into the chalice as its engravings began to slowly glow brighter. Kyran attempts to hold his breath but as soon as his body gets submerged within the liquid it starts to glow blue as he begins to feel intense pain within his head. He began to see multiple changing black and white symbols which seemed as if they were within his eyes as the pain kept increasing. His body finally decided to give up and gasp for air which to his surprise the liquid was breathable, but it was a short period of relief for the pain in his head kept increasing. Black symbols began to appear in a line on the left and right side of his neck vertically running down to his chest and some appeared in a line on his forearms.

Meanwhile Simon attempts to knock Kyran's chalice down by throwing his hammer which the beast easily knocks back with its axe as it got annoyed.

"I gave you inferior species one instruction," the beast says as the symbols on his axe began to glow "I shouldn't be surprised that you were unable to follow it."

They began to hear ominous sounds from the other rooms which increased their worries as the current situation seemed to be slipping from their control.

"Begone with." the leader said as the other room's doors opened releasing the multiple human sized flying beasts which were similar to the beast they defeated before, rush out towards the Beast's domain as the situation escalated.

"Everyone stay alert!" Simon stated.

Sarah manages to break out of her state of shock as she ran towards the others to support their efforts. The beasts surrounded the area but avoided the main one completely who is attending to Kiana's goblet with her blood in it. The order began to attack the beasts as they dived down to attack them. Kyra lit her blade ablaze as she began to burn and slice as many as she could while she ran towards the goblet. Lewis and Mike tried their best to reduce the rate at which the beasts entered as Sarah kept healing all of them the best she could, while Simon killed some beasts himself.

Kyra began to leap from beast-to-beast maneuvering her way out while gaining minor cuts which Sarah could easily heal but slowly. She grabs one of the beasts by its wings just before she lunged herself towards the chain. The Beast got irritated by her presence and proceeds to swing his axe towards her which she quickly dodges by using the beast she grabbed as a base to flip from. The axe barely misses her as she manages to grab the chain, cut it with her sword, grab Kiana and use the goblet to lunge towards Kyran's chalice.

"You're an insolent pest." the Beast said as he swung his axe towards her.

Simon notices this and throws his hammer which disrupts the swing and directs it towards Kyran's chalice. The axe shatters the chalice as the symbols faded and narrowly slices the left side of Kyran's neck as he screamed in pain. Kyra catches him then lands on the ground as she dashes to Sarah for healing.

Kyran's vision is blurry to the point that he can barely see what's happening but knows he's being carried.

"Heal them quickly!" he hears Kyra shout with a desperate tone in her voice.

"Hurry it's closing!" he hears Lewis in the distance.

The symbols kept changing in his vision till a black rectangle with three white lined borders at the top left and bottom right corner appeared as if it was in his head displaying the symbols.

"Hurry everyone out!" he hears Simon shout.

The symbols kept changing in the box as he turned his head to see a bright red and yellow glow in the distance. The symbols stopped changing as the box displayed text in bright blue English letters. Kyran closed his eyes, but the text was still in his vision.

He's unable to understand in his current state of mind till he eventually passes out but a distinct text remained though he could not see it.
