Unfair

Evie groaned as she opened her eyes and she looked around as she realized that she was in some kind of strange room that she hadn't seen before.

"What happened? Where am I?" asked Evie as she looked down at herself and she was not in her ballgown but in some kind of blue gown and she realized that there were different things that looked like hospital equipment that she was hooked up to, and she realized that she was sleeping on a hospital bed, and this wasn't her room at all.

"I think she's awake" heard Evie from outside the room as she wondered just what was going on.

"She is awake" said Matt as he entered into the room and he smiled and sighed in relief.

"Oh Evie, thank goodness that you are alright" said Maddie as she and Annie and Ollie entered into the room and they both agreed with her.

"Matt… what's going on?" asked Evie as she did not understand a single thing at all, she was so confused.

"Evie, how do you feel?" asked Matt as he smiled.

"Fine… why are you asking?? What happened, can someone please tell me what happened??" asked Evie as she was very confused right now, nothing was making sense.

"Oh Evie dear, thank goodness that you are okay" said Lucinda as she walked into the room and she hugged Evie as Evie hugged her.

"Mom, can you please tell me what's going on, what am I doing here? What is this place??" asked Evie as confusion was written all over her face, she did not remember how she got her at all, the last thing she remembered was feeling sick and throwing up, and after that, everything else was a blur till she woke up right now.

"Luke she's awake" said Lucinda as Lucas walked into the room and Lucas used the back of his hand to touch Evie's forehead, she was warm too warm.

"What's wrong?" asked Lucinda.

"She's too warm for a vampire" said Lucas in a tone of worry as he sighed.

"Then what do we do?" asked Matt as Lucas looked at him.

"I don't know, my father should know" said Lucas.

"Should I go and get him?" asked Ollie.

"No, it is not necessary, I am here already" said Henry as he walked into the room.

"What is wrong Lucas?" asked Henry.

"She's too warm, I fear that she will get a fever" said Lucas.

"And what about the drip?" asked Henry.

"It's not working" said Lucas.

"Hello!!! Everyone, pay attention to me and stop talking about me, what's going on?? What is literally going on?? How did I get here? Where Is this place? What happened, someone answer me!!" said Evie as she was tired of everyone talking but not answering her questions.

"You mean that you don't remember?" asked Maddie.

"Remember what?" asked Evie in confusion.

"Going a bit insane jumping around and trying to bite Matt several times" said Maddie as Evie looked shocked.

"What??" asked Evie in confusion as she did not get anything at all.

"You mean that you actually don't remember?" asked Maddie.

"I don't know anything" said Evie.

"Well what do you remember princess?" asked Lucas.

"I don't know, after I danced with Matt I started to feel sick, so I excused myself to the balcony, where I felt even more sick and I threw up, and now I am here" said Evie as Henry just smiled.

"Grandfather, what is going on? Why are you smiling, what is happening to me, you know something" said Evie as she looked a Henry.

"Well my dear, I am smiling because I am happy" said Henry.

"And what is making you happy?? Are you happy to see me losing my memories, being in here, acting insane, and trying to bite my own brother??" asked Evie as Lucinda held her hand.

"No my dear, not at all, I am happy because this is happening due to the fact that your vampire side is manifesting" said Henry as he smiled.

"What??" asked Evie in surprise as Henry nodded.

"So you mean that all this happened to me because of my vampire powers?" asked Evie as Henry nodded.

"Yes my dear, and it makes me very happy that you are a vampire just like me and your father, no offence to you my boy" said Henry as he smiled at Matt.

"None taken Grandfather" said Matt as he smiled and Henry could not help but feel so proud that Evie was a vampire, things could not have gone any better way than this, although he was more than ready to allow Evie ascend the throne regardless of if she was a witch, or a vampire, or a half witch, half vampire, but now that she was a full vampire, he was so happy, he knew that he had made the right decision my making her crown princess, she was more than ready for the role.

"Wait, so you mean that I am a Vampire?" asked Evie.

"Yes, a full one my dear" said Henry as he smiled.

"Awww what!! So unfair, how come Matt always gets the coolest things, I wanted to be a witch to have magic, or at least a mixture of both, but now I am nothing but a plain vampire, this is no unfair" said Evie as her reaction surprised Ollie.

"Yeah, Evie's back, she's fine" said Matt as he shook his head.

"No in all honestly, I'm a vampire, no fair Matt, you always get the best" said Evie as she pouted and Lucinda shook her head.

"Evie Grace Sundew, firstly, you will apologize to both Matt and your Grandfather for what you said, because you are being unfair to both of them, and secondly, be more mature" said Lucinda as Evie wanted to argue, but she knew better than to do so.

"I am sorry Grandfather, I am sorry Matt" said Evie as Matt wasn't even offended he knew Evie very well.

"I am not offended my dear, so how do you feel right now?" asked Henry.

"I feel hungry… very… very… hungry" said Evie slowly as her breath hitched and her eyes turned from blue to red as everyone clearly saw it.

"Princess, relax" said Lucas as Evie looked at him and her eyes turned back to blue.

"Mom, I'm, hungry, can you get me something to eat?" asked Evie as she looked at Lucinda who looked at Henry.

"I am afraid that you are not hungry for food my dear" said Henry.

"Then what am I hungry for?" asked Evie in confusion.

"Blood, you need blood, that's only when your hunger will be satisfied and you will calm down" said Henry.

"What do you mean blood?? I am fine, I am calm" said Evie as her eyes turned red once again and two mighty fangs appeared.

"Vampires don't have to drink blood anymore right?" asked Evie.

"Well yes we royals don't have the urge to drink blood often as others, we can survive without it, and when we do get the urge, we need to drink animal blood, which is what is in that drip over there to give you some strength, but your father says that you are warm, which means that the blood is not working, you need real blood" said Henry.

"No, no way, I am not drinking blood, no way, over my dead body would I drink blood" said Evie in anger as she removed everything that she was hooked to.

"That's just disgusting no way I am drinking blood" said Evie with a growl.

"Princess calm down" said Lucas.

"I am calm dad!, but I am not going to drink blood" said Evie.

"But you need to dear, or else you won't be able to survive" said Henry.

"Then I would rather die!" said Evie as Lucinda waved her hand and Evie started to get sleepy as he dozed off.

"She needs to calm down, getting worked up like this is only making her feel worse" said Lucinda as Lucas had to agree with her.

"Father, let's speak, privately" said Lucas as Henry nodded.

"And I am coming too" said Lucinda as she followed after Lucas and Henry as Matt sighed and he touched Evie's forehead.

"She is too warm" said Matt as he sighed.

"I mean, I don't know what to say" said Maddie.

"Well I get Evie, it's… disgusting to have to drink blood that you are not used to, I know why she's so against it… it's not natural… and I don't mean to offend anyone" said Annie.

"There is no one to offend here Annie, so it's okay, and besides, my Grandfather and dad know that" said Matt.

"But she needs to accept it, or she won't be okay" said Ollie.

"Which is why they have to find a way to convince her, I am worried about her" said Matt as he sighed in worry.
