CHAPTER NINE

His intent of delivering a frightening roar was to get her frightened and calm her down. And it did work; she ceased struggling and trying to break free. Immediately, Dr. Nicky saw she was calm, she quit roaring at her, his face then changed back to normal.

"Get well soon, Anna, so you can join us in class," Dr. Nicky said to her and then exited. Immediately after the court meeting, Black Arrow barged into Dr. Nicky's office.

"I heard she is awake, Doc," was the first thing she said to him, the moment she hurriedly rushed into his office. He kept reading his newspaper, paying little or no attention to what she said.

"Good afternoon to you too, My Commander," he eventually responded to her.

"Apologies, Doc," she said, followed by a bow.

"Apologies accepted," he said and put down the newspapers that were covering his face, and then further said, "Yes, she has awakened."

"Let us go see her; lessons need to start as soon as possible, Doc,"

"That will not be possible for now, General,"

"Why, Doc?"

"She is not speaking,"

"What! Why is she not speaking?"

"We have no idea. This is the first time in history that there has been a converted werewolf, and this is the first time we are treating an alpha convert,"

"When did the scan say she will begin to speak?"

"I am afraid it would take longer, General,"

Black Arrow thought for a while and said, "She needs blood."

"Obviously," Dr. Nicky said. "But you and I know he would never agree to feed our only shot at stopping him," Dr. Nicky added.

"I fed her my blood back in the City of Vallout,"

"What! Why? You know how risky that is. It's very dangerous," he said. He further spoke, "Crossfeeding! It could kill her. It is very wrong. It could make her uncontrollably, unstoppable, unlike anything we have ever seen; a super alpha werewolf killer machine…"

"…Is that not what we need? A beast that can crush him down within these few days ultimo!" She yelled angrily.

"No, that is not what we want." She then placed her palm to her forehead, grunting in pain. Her yelling made her feel an unusual pain.

"Are you okay, General?" He asked.

"I am… I am fine. It is just that Sir Elvis was being a pain in the ass in court today."

"Are you sure?" He dipped his hands into his lab coat to pull out some painkillers for her. She did not need a glass of water to swallow it; she did not even need to swallow it. She chewed it, despite it was not tasty as the ones humans took.

"Or was it because you met Drex?" Dr. Nicky continued after she had swallowed the drug. Immediately, she had flashbacks of some meetings with Drex.

"No. No, it is not about him; I am over that." He showed her to the sick bed in his office and she lay upon it.

"I think now is the best time for what you would call needles therapy," he said, and she chuckled.

"I do not call it, 'needles therapy' anymore. Plus, I do not think I need that anymore," she said, although she still lay on his bed.

He grabbed a seat next to the bed and said, "I missed how you would always, snap out of the sessions and find the best solutions to your problems back then." She smiled trying to remember. "You realizing the solution to your problem was and quickly running away, was my best part."

"That was a very long time ago," she said. Silence set in just then, as she kept trying to reminisce about the old times. She then snapped out of her thoughts and rapidly stood up from her bed.

"Are you okay?" he asked her; he was startled by her sudden act. She did not reply to him but kept running. He then realized that she had figured out a solution to her problems again. This also made him wonder how professional a doctor he was because he did not need to inject needles into her skin again.
