CHAPTER EIGHT

Soon after, he got to Anna's ward. Anna's body began to jerk more vehemently while he was feet away from her. It became obvious that the reason for her body's unconscious movement was because of Drex's presence. The doctor who phoned Anna's Dad had already phoned Commander Jamal, the moment the attack commenced. Luckily, they were on their way with more reinforcement and amour. The doctor faked his death, some seconds before Drex walked in; he was playing dead. Unluckily for him, Drex had an advanced hearing sense; he could hear his heartbeat. His heart was racing, and Drex knew he was alive, although frightened. Drex then grabbed him by the leg. He quit playing dead, just then, as it was obvious that Drex had figured it out. He then began to plead. Drex lifted him by the neck with just an arm. He lifted his head close to the level of the ceiling fan in the ward. His heart beat faster; faster than when Commander Jamal threatened him.

"Please do not kill me; I have a family. My kids are…"

Before he completed the sentence, Drex lifted his head to the ceiling fan level, and the fan blades chopped open his brain. His blood splashed on every corner of the hospital, including Drexs' face, the curtains, and on Anna's body.

He then left the doctor's dead body to drop on the floor. He moved close to Anna's body and her body began to jerk faster; he took closer looks at her, at the bite marks and scars, as if he was examining her. He did not hurry the process of taking closer looks at her body, because he had conquered the entire military officer that secured the hospital, and there was no one coming to stop him, so he thought.

Just when he was to grab her body and exit the hospital, he received a push from behind him. The velocity of the push forced him to move far away from her body crashing his head on the wall. He was surprised by what hit him. He knew it was an arm, but he did not think it was a human's arm, because this arm was very much more powerful than a human's arm. He slowly stood up and turned back slowly. While he was turning back, he could hear them grunt, but the grunt of the female was more familiar. He smirked as he sighted her, but there was no smile on her face.

"Get him!" She instructed her boys. Immediately, he went out through the window, heading to the roof of the hospital. Her boys chased after him immediately. She then moved closer to Anna's body; to take close looks at her. Immediately after taking close look at her body, she went up the roof to join her teammates in the battle.

At the point of arriving there, she could not find Drex. However, she spotted two of her allies badly wounded and grunting in pain. She further

looked around and saw the other two lying dead on the floor. It was less than five minutes and Drex did this to her best soldiers. She could not shed tears as regards their demise; she was a soldier.

Soon after, Commander Jamal and his reinforcements arrived at the hospital. They could see the casualties inflated by Drex. He then reported the situation to President Prescott. He used terms such as, 'excruciatingly painfully' and 'critical' when conversing with President Prescott on phone.

Subsequently, he went to check on Anna. He found Anna lying quietly on the bed, but she was not alone.

"Banshee," he called out the moment he sighted them, including the wounded ones. He was perplexed to meet a banshee in real life. He had read a lot about them.

"Nice to meet you too, Human," she said in return. He still marveled because she was not as huge as a regular size werewolf. She looked more human than a werewolf. Nevertheless, she was not human.

"So, are we taking her?" The next question she threw at him, while he was busy gazing at how unique she looked.

"Are we taking her?" She repeated and then he immediately snapped out of his thoughts.

"Yes. Yes, you can take her." She then faced Anna's paralyzed body, staring into her eyes.

She said, "It is time to wake up, Anna. Sleep as a human for the last time and awake as an Alpha werewolf forever." She then bit the veins in her wrist and immediately she began to bleed, profusely. She then placed her wounded wrist in Anna's mouth and the blood dripped into her mouth. Then Anna was awakening.

"Easy, Anna. Take it easy," one of the nurses said to her.

Dr. Nicky rushed into Anna's ward just then.

"Why is she not in her human body?" He asked the nurses. "No vaccines?" He further questioned in an authoritative tone.

"Sir, we injected her, but it did not work,"

"Summon Black Arrow. She said she needs to see her the moment she awakes."

"We did sir, but she said she is in court; a crucial meeting with His Grace," the nurse replied to him. He then sighed. He went closer to her, pointing the lab lamp directly into her eyes to see what the color was; it was red, as it should be. Anna was now fully awakened. She could gesticulate. She moved her arms and legs just then and realized they could not move past one meter; her hands and legs were chained up to the bed.

She became discomforted noticing that she was tied down. She then began to force her hands and legs out of the chain. Thereby causing damage to the bed, she was chained upon. She then began to roar, like a lion, although it sounded so much like a lion's cub. Not as frightening as Drex's roar and could not tear down a human's eardrum.

"Take it easy Anna. You will be fine," the nurse said to her again. However, she would not quit roaring and trying to break free from the chains. Dr. Nicky then roared at her in rage. As he roared, part of his boy changed to a werewolf; a beta werewolf. His roar frightened her. She stared into his eyes in shock. His eyeballs were bluish, unlike hers.
