“Redo”

Faust's corpse drops to the ground, his energy releasing upwards in the form of a glowing blue smoke, Morell sighing as she gently claps her hands together, closing her eyes to form a prayer.

"I wish for this man's soul to be cured in his next life.. Let him live without a tainted mind, perhaps even reunite with that maid of his.."

Her hands released, her eyes opening as she merely stood still, her hand slowly raising to her mouth, her fingers tapping gently on her lips, as she tilted her head.

"I don't know what to feel.."

Morell walked away, picking up her earlier dropped flute, holding it tightly in her hand, as she left the crater. She returned to the girl, Reece, kneeling down to her unconscious corpse, her hand raising to Reece's lips.

She gently pushed her thumb into her mouth, poking a hole in her thumb using Reece's tooth, as her blood leaked into her mouth.

"I know you're not dead, friend.. but why am I worried.. I know you'll live, but, I can't help but want to cry.. Wake up, Reece."

Her thumb leaves Reece's mouth, as Morell sat down in front of her, watching closely. After a moment of depressing silence, Reece's mouth slightly twitches in reaction to the taste of blood, her body shifting and a slight grunt heard.

"There you are, Reece.. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.. I'm sorry I yelled at you, please respond.."

Morell kept repeating her pleas for forgiveness, Reece's eyes twitching open, as she swuinted up towards Morell, holding her head as she sat up straight.

"Oi.. You dumb rice farmer.. Did you win..?"

Reece smirked at Morell, leaning forth to poke her in the forehead, being playful as usual. This came to a slow stop as she got a closer look of Morell.

"Are you okay..? You got knocked out earlier, I don't even know how that's possible but, you're acting kinda differently? Y'know, less like an introvert and just plain empty."

Morell's eyes slightly widened to her question, looking down as she stood back up, raising her hand to her face, covering her right side.

"My emotions have been a bit random.. I'm sure I'll snap out of it, I'm fine.."

She lends her hand down, lifting Reece up on her feet, as she then climbs up the hills, leading Reece who followed behind her.

"If you say so.. But you're alive and you saved the day, that's what matters..!"

They made it out of the area, reaching a transmission tower, the city just ahead downhill. Reece suddenly grabs Morell, lifting her up before hopping forth, beginning to slide down the mountain both quickly and dangerously, Morell squirming around in her grasp.

"Reece..! You'll break me being this reckless."

Reece laughed aloud, ignoring Morell's concern as they slid all the way down to the city, a crowd of people formed. The majority lacked facial details, some even looking monstrous, as they were all cheering out.

"You saved us..! You're our saviour..!"

Reece put Morell down, as they both looked to the cheering crowd in awe, two familiar faces walking out from the crowd. Saturn, Morell's recent mentor, and Bennett, the merchant Reece had earlier encountered.

"You did it..! I thought you guys were gonna die for shit..!"

Bennet said, approaching Reece for a hug, only to be hit in the head by her, Reece then crossing her arms. Morell giggled to the two's shenanigans, then looking back to Saturn.

"I apologize, but I haven't put any of your taught swordsmanship to use.. I swear I will in the future, however.. Your teaches in wisdom are the reason I made it through the fight.. I thank you dearly.."

Morell politely bowed, as Saturn crossed his arms, nodding in acceptance, a slight smile on his face. As he approached her, placing his hand on her shoulder.

"I never intended to teach you swordsmanship, you aren't a wielder of the sword.. What I was teaching you all along was the mindset of a warrior, which you've put to use.. You've outcome victorious, this city's residents have deemed you worthy of Ruler."

The crowd cheered once more, swarming the group as Morell looked around, startled at first, though a smile grew on her face. The others smiling with her, Reece placing her arm around Morell's shoulder.

"Alright! Let's barge into that stupid castle and beat everyone up so Morell can take the theone..!"

Reece flung her fist up into the air, the crowd doing the same with one last cheer, before marching through the streets towards the castle.

"Why is there a castle in this modern city, anyways..?"

Morell questioned, looking around. She never noted of it before, but outside of the city it was much more of a medieval world, ruins everwhere, no signa of life outside of the city walls.

Morell and the others ran forth behind the crowd, making way to the castle.

"Say, Reece.. You say the current Ruler, Uvie is just some lazy kid, don't you..? Why didn't you just bust in the castle before..?"

Reece looked at Morell as if she thought she was stupid, the crowd stopping at the castle bridge, as the group stopped with them.

"You saw the people she sent after us before..! Obviously Uvie has a bunch of crazy bodyguards in there..!"

She walked up to the back of the crowd, climbing up someone's shoulder, yelling out with her fist in the air. Morell trying to pull her back down.

"Why'd you guys stop!? The fuck's going on out there!?"

Reece hopped up, a monstrous mass coming out from her sleeve, as into a pole out her hand, connecting the other end to the ground as she used it to stay in the air, placing her other hand ocer her eyes to get a better look.

At the end of the bridge stood a monster in the crowd's way, large and muscular, with fangs and scales, like something you'd see in a kaiju movie.

She raised an eyebrow, as one man walked forth from the crowd, cracking his knuckles as he approached the monster.

"Stand back, guys..! I'll make this quick.. My name is Die, and I won't let you block our way..!"

Die dashed forth, swinging a heavy punch towards the monster, the impact upon it's abdomen.. leaving Die's knuckles to shatter, as he yelled in pain, the monster then wrapping it's arms around Die, crushing him.

The crowd stared in shock, taking steps away as the monster released him, looking back towards the crowd, before letting out a loud roar, causing the crowd to begin running away, Morell's eyes widening to the sudden shift of them all, as she looked into the distance, looking towards the monster the best she could.
