Lei didn't like replying on people, generally for two reasons, even though they were both extremely cliche.
First, as a royal, most people, even if they pretended to be her friends, were usually two-sided snakes who would love it if she died.
Second, she was rich, which meant people also wanted to use her in that way for some quick bucks. She used to love saying, "Oh, how sad~ I'm just too perfect, so everyone wants to use me!", but actually, she had been all too lonely for a long time.
But that was a story for another time.
All she cared about right now was the fact that her life was boring, so boring that to find her share of fulfillment, she had to start bossing around other people, which was why she had made the goal to get Jylan and Sebas together - romance was simply just so entertaining, and besides that, it was a very good challenge. Such a challenge that she welcomed any help.
Which was why she was now gladly following the albeit suspicious Jester through the dark hall.
"Anyway, why do you want ME? I can't even fight." Lei asked, and The Jester smiled. "Right, but it's not because I want you to fight for me. No, I need something a bit more… personal … from you." A mouse skittered somewhere in another cell. "Like what?" Lei asked, and the Jester held a finger to his lips, then smiled, and said, "Oh, well, you see, the biggest threat to our darling couple right now is your parents."
Lei snorted. "Obviously, I guess they're out for not only my head but also Sebas and Jylan's. So what are we doing?"
The jester now paused for a minute, and turned to her, nervously scratching his head. "Ah, I, Uhm, I…"
Lei raised an eyebrow, crossed her arms over her chest, and stared at the Jester, who tripped over his words. The jester said, softly, "Lei, I'm not forcing you into anything. Only do it if you're comfortable - I, uh, want you to help me take down your parents. I-If you dont want me to! I won't." The Jester said nervously, and Lei thought for a minute. Then she took a deep breath.
"Sure, I'll do it."
