"So, you're telling me that you reached the Eighth Layer of the Essence Meridian Realm in just three years without any pills or cultivation resources? You did it all on your own?" Kassius asked, amazed.

Lexx nodded in confirmation, causing Kassius to feel waves of astonishment in his heart as he looked at the boy in front of him.

Nexus and Kassius exchanged shocked glances, both trying to hide their surprise. Lexx, on the other hand, was starting to feel overwhelmed by all the questions being thrown at him.

"What is the rank of your cultivation technique?" Nexus asked, trying to maintain a composed expression.

"I don't know the rank of the cultivation technique," Lexx replied with a shrug.

"Can you show me the cultivation technique?" Nexus inquired once more.

Lexx hesitated for a moment, looking conflicted.

Seeing his struggle, Nexus reassured him, "If you don't want to, I won't force you."

After a moment of contemplation, Lexx's eyes lit up and he stood up, saying, "Please, sir, wait. I will bring you the cultivation technique." With that, he made his way up to the second floor.

As Lexx ascended the stairs, Kassius turned to Nexus and remarked, "Your Highness, this kid might be a cultivation genius if he was able to reach the Eighth Layer of the Essence Meridian Realm without any support."

"Yeah, but it could also be related to the cultivation technique or other factors we don't know. Let's wait and see the cultivation technique first," Nexus replied, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as his red eyes flickered with interest.

A few minutes later, Lexx returned with something wrapped in a black cloth.

Sitting back in his chair, he unwrapped the cloth to reveal a tattered book to Nexus, saying, "Sir, this is the cultivation technique."

Nexus casually took the Cultivation technique and gave Lexx a faint smile. He then lowered his head and began to analyze the technique in his mind, all the while engaging in conversation with Jade.

"Hey Jade, what's the rank of this cultivation technique and what makes it special?" Nexus asked, transmitting his voice.

"It's just a normal Mortal Rank cultivation technique, nothing special about it," Jade's disdainful voice echoed in Nexus's mind.

"Huh, so it's just a regular cultivation technique. The problem must be with this boy himself," Nexus quickly analyzed.

"Hey Jade, is there something wrong with the kid sitting in front of me, or is there something special about him?" Nexus further inquired.

Jade's voice didn't come immediately, but after a while, she said, "Well, there seems to be something different about this kid."

"What did you see?" Nexus asked promptly.

"After looking into his meridians, I found something. All his meridians are filled with inky darkness," Jade explained.

Nexus sank into deep thought, pondering Jade's words. Looking at Lexx, he said, "Well, this cultivation technique is just a normal Mortal Rank technique."

"Oh, so this technique is Mortal Rank, huh?" Lexx muttered under his breath, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

Nexus chuckled at Lexx's excitement and continued, "Let me ask you another question."

"Please, sir, go ahead," Lexx nodded.

"Do you feel something different when you cultivate, or anything?" Nexus asked, studying Lexx's face.

Lexx fell silent, furrowing his brows as he thought deeply. After a moment, his eyes lit up, and he said, "I remember now. Whenever I cultivate in darkness, I absorb Spirit Energy faster than in other places. And since I was a child, I've always felt a connection to darkness. I feel warm when I'm in the darkness."

Nexus and Kassius were slightly confused by Lexx's words.

"Nexus, it might be because this guy has a special physique. You have heard of special physiques before?" Jade.

Nexus nodded, he had heard of special physiques before.

Special physiques are powerful and unique body types bestowed by the Heavens. They are not necessarily inherited like bloodlines, but can appear spontaneously or be acquired.

' That's why his cultivation experienced such a boost in just three years without any cultivation resources ', Nexus thought.

"It seems his special physique has not been awakened yet," Jade's voice sounded once again in Nexus' ear.

"Do you know what kind of special physique he has?" Nexus asked.

"I currently don't know, I have to look into it," Jade said. "Nexus, you are really lucky. You were able to chance upon such a talented person just by taking a walk. What luck!"

Nexus didn't mind Jade's words and turned to Lexx with a smile.

"Lexx, I want you to work for me," Nexus said. "If you work for me, I will give you a more powerful cultivation technique than the one you are currently practicing."

Lexx was stunned when he heard Nexus wanted him to work for him.

Although Nexus had previously threatened him, hearing Nexus wanted to recruit him left him shocked. He was even more surprised when Nexus said he would give him a more powerful cultivation technique.

"Do you want to recruit me?" Lexx asked, pointing at himself.

"Yes, I want you to work for me. I want you to become my subordinate" Nexus nodded in confirmation.

"Will you really give me a powerful Cultivation technique " Lexx asked.

Nexus nodded. "I can also provide you with the Cultivation resources that you need ".

Kassius was also surprised when he heard Nexus wanted to recruit Lexx.

He looked at Lexx, who was deep in thought. "Kid, you are really lucky to work for His Highness. Why are you hesitating?" Kassius chimed in from the side.

" His Highness?" Lexx looked at Nexus in puzzlement, hearing Kassius address Nexus as His Highness.

Nexus also looked at him with a faint smile on his lips, his eyes flickering.

Lexx lowered his head and sank into deep thought. Ever since his parents died, he has been all alone, surviving in this cruel world. If it wasn't for luck that he came upon a Cultivation technique that allowed him to survive until now, he was afraid he would have died by now. He steals to make a living and has never worked for anyone before. Although he has partnered with other thieves in big operations, he always gets his share and immediately leaves, never wanting to entangle with others.

Except, he unfortunately ran into Nexus, who was more powerful than him and threatened him with a secret mark to kill him if he ran to the ends of the world.

After a while, Lexx raised his head, his eyes gleaming as he asked, "Are you a Prince or Royalty?"

"Something like that," Nexus spread his arms and shrugged.

Lexx thought for a while and suddenly got on one knee. "From now on, I, Lexx Emberbane, will work for you, master."
