Ancestor of Cultivation

Zhou Yongnian was taught the way of cultivation by the supreme deity Shangdi. However, what the god didn't tell Zhou Yongnian is that he must teach the humans of modern times how to cultivate. Follow him as he tries his hardest to follow up on the impossible. Disclaimer: This is a parallel universe. Not everything may be historically accurate. No clue why I must disclaim this.

Ma Zhen

Li had begun his day by having a nice bowl of Weetbix and a chat with his parents.

"Anything interesting happening, guys?" Nate said to his small but jolly family.

"Not really, to be honest, you know just the whole worlds dynamic and pecking order changing, nothing to major." Li said jokingly.

His two parents just stared at him with the most disappointed face. But then heartily laughed at his joke.

"Well, I hope you both have a good day today, I'm off to work." Nate said as he got up and walked out the door.

Katy got up, too. "If you get hungry, there's some leftover lasagna in the fridge, but I gotta leave too." She rushed out the door, leaving Li all alone

'Alright, time to get to work." Li headed upstairs where he began working on his new invention.

Li began arranging the Qi to work in certain ways so that only people that are Anatomy modulating 5 and above.

---

He worked for several hours

---

"Ah, I need some fresh air. I can't keep cramped up in this room for hours." Li said out loud to himself like a crazy man.

He threw on a jumper and walked into town carefree when he saw a short brown haired boy squaring up to a bunch of bigger people.

"You think your big blud, think again." The boy said, feigning a shitty British accent. He was obviously fucking around with the group of big kids.

They decided to leave the kid alone with a warning that he'd get bashed if he did it again. He wasn't scared though he actually seemed oddly calm.

"Hey man what's up!?" The kid said to Li as if they were best buddies.

"I'm sorry do I know you?" Li said confused as hell. He was sure he had never seen this person before.

"Yeah dude, it's me Ma Zhen, I'm in your class, do you really not know me?" This made Ma Zhen think Li was kind of a dick.

"Oh yeah, my bad, I'm sorry I didn't notice you look kind of different." Li said apologetically.

Before Ma Zhen was really short and had virtually no hair. Now he was taller than most people and he had a regular amount of hair.

See this is what cultivation does. It physically transforms the body to fit what their soul would look like.

So Li somewhat resembled what his soul looked like, because his cultivation was higher. He still shouldn't resemble it very closely because he was just at the start of his cultivation.

However, in time he would become to look more ethereal because his skin would become more pale.

Anyway, Ma Zhen was looking more like a normal person than a midget with an ego bigger than himself. He almost looked like an athlete.

"You must have been cultivating for quite awhile because I don't reckon people are born looking like you."

'Guess he is stupid.' Li thought. He also understood that people would begin to recognise that he isn't normal.

"Nope, I've been cultivating since it was revealed."

Li thought that this kid was lying to him, but he couldn't really be bothered to get any kind of truth out of him.

It is an amazing strategy to fool people.

"Huh, that's kinda weird. Yeah, whatever." Ma Zhen fell for it. It probably wouldn't fool him for long, though. So Li left before Ma Zhen could inspect him further.

He honestly couldn't be bothered to stay outside any longer, so he just went home.

'It'll take me at least a few more days to finish this.' Li thought he may be biting off more than he could chew, but he persevered.

'If I'm able to, I should make it display peoples; name, cultivation, progress to the next level, current state of body, health, stamina.'

[Yes, I'm making a system leave me alone]

His current progress in the display was making good headway but still had a ways to go.

---

A few days later

---

Li was stumped. he wanted to make it so it displayed peoples cultivation, but he didn't know past his current realm.

'Perhaps I'll have to update it at times when I breakthrough.' Li thought begrudgingly. After he was finished with it, he never wanted to tinker with it again.

'Guess that's what I'm gonna have to do.' Although he was annoyed, he knew doing this was for the good of the people.

'God, these people should be thankful that they have a saint like me to help them this much.'

Li turned on his camera and just recorded a blank room, and during the editing, he put the instructions on screen.

At the beginning, he put a big disclaimer that only people at Anatomy modulating 5 and above later upset a lot of people.

They didn't think it was fun that they had to put in so much effort for this. The smarter people, however, understood that it was probably for the best.

It's a classic example of making people reach a goal and giving them a reward for it. It was just on a much larger scale.

It'd probably take the common people to understand the complications of Li doing what he is doing.

What he didn't expect were hate comments, but it is the internet, after all. There will always be that one guy who has to ruin all good things.

"You're so stupid. Making me work for this you fucking stupid idiot." It wasn't very creative but it made Li question if he had done something wrong.

'Should I have made a simpler goal? No! That would remove the whole point of setting a goal.' Li had waived it off as just another angry person that would calm down eventually.

Whatever I'll think about it later. For now I have to focus on more important things.

Sometimes things in life just take priority over others.

He really wanted to do a few things at the moment, so he gained some clarity in his mind and put his priorities straight.
