Chapter 95

“Tony.”

“Yeah, that’s me.”

Vincent guffawed and choked a little on the food he was trying to swallow. “You fucking smart-ass.”

Anthony picked up Vincent’s glass and passed it to him. “Drink that before you die on the spot.”

“No thanks to you,” Vincent retorted, but he complied. “Anyway, how did you start your bakery business?”

“I’ve always loved to bake,” Anthony replied. “After graduating from college with a business degree, I soon realized I wasn’t interested in working behind the desk at a nine-to-five kind of job. Within a year or so, I managed to rent a small space at the mall, quit my job, and opened my own little store. I actually began with simple things like pies, sandwiches, donuts, a few cakes, and cupcakes. Lucky for me, for the next three years or so, my business became rather successful. I had also gone back to culinary school to learn how to be a proper baker. I had plenty of student loans and mortgages for the next few years.”
