The King

Technoblade POV

After coming back from a long adventure with Phil, we decided to head back home since we got 11 totems of undying: more than we first set out for. It was a long trip and Phil and I were pretty beat, plus, I haven't felt the fabric of my bed for a while, it's gonna feel so good to fall asleep on a cushion again.

While we were heading back, we found a little village that we could trade with, so I wrote down the coordinates for future purposes. It reminded me of a distant time where an exact village stood there, but I ignored the feeling as the desire to sleep was overwhelming any other curiosity I had. We will probably head back there anyways, not only to trade but to do… something else as well.

However, before we left, we noticed that there was a very old looking house on top of a slope that overlooked the village. Why would they have an old run down house like that overlook the village?

Phil seemed to wonder the same thing, so he started heading towards it curiously. I didn't move though, I just really wanted to head home, but the look Phil gave me told me he was expecting me to follow. I just sighed in defeat, following suit into the aged, old house.

We went up the hill and to the steps of the house, walking up to find an old creaky door and a mailbox to the left of it. This feels way too familiar for my liking.

Phil went towards the door and opened it, looking inside the house to check if it wasn't some sort of trap. Once he stepped further in, I knew the coast was clear and followed after him.

I really shouldn't have expected more from the house, as on the inside there was barely anything, but there was a ripped up blanket and some books. Someone lives in this garbage? I thought, going towards the little book and opening it. Looking inside, there was a drawing of a horse and... a little girl? The drawing of the horse looked exactly like my horse, Carl, but I ignored it, as the concern I felt towards the little girl was bigger. She had ripped clothes and purple/black marks all over her body. Philza also pointed out that she had the same different colored eyes as Ranboo but her hair was ginger instead of black and white. I wonder if she's? No, no he wouldn't hurt a fly.

Not wanting to think about it, I put the book down and left some potatoes in the house for the girl, who I assume lives in this place. We headed back to our horses soon after but before we rode off, I noticed that Carl's hair was braided, and his name was written on the ground. "There's also footprints?.." Philza pointed out, both of us giving each other concerned glances. We followed the footprints and found it led to both of our houses, getting off the horses quickly to see if an intruder was nearby. Philza ran to his home first and after a while of searching, he came out saying no one was in his, so there was only one left: mine. I entered my home and checked around the main floor, looking in the boat where Edward used to stay. I even checked the box where Tommy used to hide when he had a panic attack, but to no avail, as no one was there. I went downstairs to where all of the villagers were and found they were all unharmed, so I had one last place to check.

Once I arrived at my room, I saw them. In the sheets of my bed, there was a little ball, seemingly a person inside, though they seemed very small to be a vicious intruder, so I put down the hand that was on the verge of pulling my sword out.

I slowly walked towards the bed and uncovered it slightly to find a beaten up girl shivering in the sheets. I jumped back, immediately putting the blanket back over her as to not make her cold. Ok stay calm Techno, there's a literal child in your bed-

I immediately went to Philza since I don't know how to deal with children. I knocked on his door frantically, the door swinging open immediately and revealing a concerned Phil. "What happened?! Is there an intruder, did you kill them?!-

"PHIL THERE'S A CHILD ON MY BED WHAT DO I DO?!" I whisper yell desperately. Phil looked a bit taken aback at my response but quickly went back to his calm state,"Show me." We go upstairs and I frantically point at my bed, Phil slowly going towards it as I had and uncovered it slightly. His face changes into a soft expression and sighs, "Wake her up in the morning, she looks pretty beat. Let her rest for now".

I remembered seeing the girl with bruisings and saw the content smile she had on her face, so I nodded my head and went down to the couch. "Goodnight Techno" Phil whispers to me before leaving the house soon after. I smile softly, whispering a goodnight before laying down and getting comfortable in my new spot.

I close my eyes, thinking about that little girl. "She must have been through a lot", I silently wondered as I brushed my hand over my own scars, "No child should have those scars."

And for the first time in ages, he goes to sleep with one emotion on his face: concern.
