Chapter 7 : His future, her past (1)

At Lee residency.

The car reached the garage and slowly stopped. No one spoke on the way. All three men were silent as they knew if they utter a single word, they might get exploded. As soon as they reached the door, Aaron started walking towards his room. Alan also followed his brother.

"Lee Aaron, stop right there!" Finally, Gina couldn't take her son's aloof behavior. Grandpa, who was on the way in following his grandsons, suddenly stopped.

'Now I can't follow these brats. They will put me in danger as well' thinking this he sat on the couch.

Aaron stood on the stairs with his hands tucked inside his pockets. She continued.

"What is the meaning of your behavior in the function? Why would you hug an engaged girl?"

Alan tried to help his brother. "Mom, what's wrong in that? Isn't it common? What's the-"

She glared at him. "Have you seen your brother hugging other girls casually before?"

Alan shook his head instantly. 'Bro! I can't help. You are on your own now'

She turned towards Aaron, "You, young man, answer me!"

Aaron replied with a poker face, "What's wrong with hugging my wife?"

She felt her head spinning. She asked in disbelief. "Wife?!!!"

"Okay. Wife-to-be," he said.

"Where did you hit your head? Is it paining anywhere? Come, let us go to the hospital right now." saying this she walked towards him.

"Mom! you know what I'm saying!"

"No, I don't. How can any normal person like me understand the words sprouted by a disabled person like you?" She gritted her teeth.

Alan and grandpa couldn't control and laughed off seeing Aaron. She got even more agitated seeing them laugh.

"Okay. It's over. I don't want to have unfilial sons like you both. I, Gina is disowning you both today. It's official!".

They all sighed. Alan said to his grandpa, "Matt, 698th time!"

Aaron said in all serious tone, "Mom, listen up. The girl that I had mentioned before was none other than Rach. I mean Rachel."

She got stunned. "Really? But she is engaged now!"

She knew her son had liked a girl before but later got to know that she had rejected him. She had felt sorry for her son. Though she didn't know who that girl exactly was, she was ready to accept her. She would never say no to her son's happiness. This time was no different.

"Just engaged!" saying this he turned but called Alan. "Come to my room."

Alan with a troubled expression followed his brother. He knew what was waiting for him. Sigh!

Gina shouted, "You ungrateful son. You better don't create problems!"

She suddenly felt more worried about Rachel. Oh, poor kid!

Grandpa sighed. Thank god his son, William was still in the U.S. He shook his head helplessly seeing them and went to his room.

Alan entered his brother's room. Aaron was lying on the bed with eyes closed.

"Bro, what's wrong?"

"Explain," Aaron asked without opening his eyes.

"Ha-ha, I don't understand what you are asking about. Bro, it's late. I will go back to-"

Aaron finally opened his eyes. "Alan! Try going out of this room." saying this he stormed into the bathroom to take a shower.

'Sigh! I guess I can't escape from this devil.'

Alan waited in that room for almost 20 minutes without moving. He would be a fool if he leaves this place in spite of his brother's warning.

Aaron took his sweet time to finish his shower. He came out wearing black pajamas. Seeing him drying his hair, Alan called him in his low voice. "Bro?"

"Oh, I forgot. You are still here? I thought you already left."

'Forgot? seriously? sob..sob..poor me!' He decided to confess everything.

"Bro, I didn't mean to follow you. But when I saw you hugging some girl, I was just a little curious.. only little. Do you know? I also saved you from getting discovered by others."

"You saved me?" Aaron asked.

"Yes! That girl, Jane was following you guys. So I blocked her for you. Hehe, I didn't want to disturb you both. But bro, you kissed Rachel?" He asked in his teasing voice.

"I saw, how you blocked her. You sacrificed your cheeks for that."

"Bro! Don't remind me of that. How can any girl be like her? She is not a girl for sure! Monstrous! I will make her pay for hitting my precious cheek. Ah..don't change the topic. Tell me quickly. The girl you kissed was Rachel?"

"Sis-in-law," Aaron said.

"Huh?" Alan was confused by this sudden statement.
