Chapter 104: Rekindling Old Flames

"I don't care who Brother Hammer is," Felicity whispered, her voice laced with emotion.

Su Sheng chuckled and gently stroked Felicity's shoulder. "A few years away, and I see you've still got that fire in you. Lucky for me, I dodged that slap—getting hit by you would've been pretty embarrassing. Still sore?"

"What do you think?" Felicity huffed, crossing her arms.

Su Sheng smiled, wrapping his arms around her before turning to Laura. "Looks like you'll have to sleep in your room tonight."

Laura nodded silently and left the room.

"Is she… your new girlfriend?" Felicity asked hesitantly, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

"New girlfriend? When did we break up?" Su Sheng asked, genuinely surprised.

His question left Felicity stunned. She had assumed he had moved on, that he had intended to end things between them.

"Where have you been all these years? You disappeared without a word. Do you have any idea what's happened since you left? I…" Felicity's voice trailed off as Su Sheng's laughter interrupted her.

"I know. I know what happened. You, Laurel, and Catwoman formed the Birds of Prey, right? Helena must have come looking for me and then decided to stick around, turning into the Huntress and keeping you on your toes. Am I right? I know everything," Su Sheng said, his tone casual.

"What's the deal with you and Helena?" Felicity asked, her curiosity piqued.

"I'll tell you all about it, it's quite the story," Su Sheng replied, lifting Felicity into his arms and carrying her to the bedroom.

Back in the room, Su Sheng recounted everything—how he ran into Laurel Lance, got involved with the Legends, was taken to Paradise Island, and everything in between. He told Felicity about time travel, Paradise Island, and even the Olympian myths. Felicity was initially skeptical, thinking it all sounded like something out of a sci-fi novel, but as Su Sheng continued, she was drawn into the incredible story.

"It all happened so suddenly. My leaving was an accident, and everything that followed was too interesting to pass up. I didn't rush back because I knew you were doing well, and I didn't want to mess with history again," Su Sheng explained, his voice soft as he stroked Felicity's hair.

Hearing his explanation, Felicity felt the anger and hurt she had harbored begin to fade. He hadn't meant to leave her; he hadn't wanted to break up. "And what about those other women?" she asked, her tone more curious than accusatory.

"Sarah Lance is also Laurel's sister, though she hasn't returned to Starling City yet, so Laurel doesn't know she's alive. But yeah, she's one of them. She likes to joke that I can't sleep without a woman beside me," Su Sheng said with a chuckle.

"Are you going back to Starling City with me?" Felicity asked, changing the subject before he could elaborate. She wasn't sure she wanted to know more.

"Not right now. Starling City and Central City are only 600 miles apart—an easy commute for me. I promise, if you ever miss me, just give me a call. By the time you hang up and hop in the shower, I'll be in your bed," Su Sheng said with a grin.

"That fast? Can you show me?" Felicity asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Of course!"

In an instant, red lightning crackled around Su Sheng. Felicity blinked, expecting some super-speed feat, only to find that their clothes had vanished.

"When did you…" Felicity started to ask, but Su Sheng was already kissing her passionately.

Felicity melted into the kiss, any lingering doubts swept away. The time apart, the years of longing, and the thrill of being together again overwhelmed her. She hadn't realized how much she had missed him until that moment. Soon, all thoughts were lost as she let herself get swept up in the moment, surrendering completely to the feelings she had tried to bury.

The night passed quietly.

The morning sun filtered through the window, waking Felicity. She blinked, momentarily disoriented in the unfamiliar room, until she saw Su Sheng lying beside her. It wasn't a dream.

"Oops!" Felicity suddenly remembered something, bolting upright to find her phone. She found it among her discarded clothes and saw numerous missed calls and messages from Laurel and Selena, all asking about the results of her search. After a moment of hesitation, she quickly replied, telling them she had seen Su Sheng and would explain later. She looked up to see Su Sheng already awake.

"Morning," Su Sheng greeted her, pulling her into a hug.

"Morning," Felicity replied, leaning into him. "You promised to show me the Disciple today."

"Of course. Let's take a shower first, and then I'll give you the grand tour," Su Sheng said, smiling.

As they walked through the Disciple, Felicity marveled at the various artifacts and mementos Su Sheng had collected. She noticed one particular photo in the collection room that caught her attention, but before she could ask about it, she remembered something.

"By the way, do you have any enemies in Central City? Or someone who wouldn't want you here?" Felicity asked, her tone suddenly serious.

"What makes you ask?"

"I found this place using a satellite, but before that, someone sent me an email telling me you were in Central City," Felicity explained.

Su Sheng's interest was piqued. The most likely person to have sent the email was Caitlin Snow, but it didn't fit her character. The next logical suspect was Harrison Wells… or rather, Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash.

If Thawne had reached out, it likely meant he was regaining his speed and looking to speed up his return to his own time by eliminating any potential threats—like Su Sheng.
