After discovering Li Ya's secret, Little Superman activated his inquisitive mode, bombarding him with 100,000 questions. Despite being annoyed by his incessant inquiries, Li Ya patiently explained, considering the value of their friendship, which had now increased to 20% of its previous level.
Unlocking a friendly relationship would grant them 40% of their abilities, while a higher level of trust would unlock 55%. However, rushing things was not advisable; friendship required time to develop and accumulate.
Deeply bonded individuals often included comrades-in-arms who had fought together for years, where trust in each other's lives and well-being was unwavering.
After chatting for a while, Li Ya wanted to experience what it felt like to possess 40% of Superman's powers, so he suggested, "Hey, Clark, let's go out!"
"But you're still a patient. Is it appropriate for you to go out like this?" Clark expressed his concern.
Indeed, just minutes ago, Li Ya had been lying in bed with broken arms and legs, and suddenly appearing before others in perfect health was quite unbelievable for ordinary people.
"What else can I do? I can't stay in the ward forever. Besides, if the doctors come for their routine check-ups, I'll have to assist them!" Li Ya couldn't be bothered by such trivial matters; all he wanted was to leave the hospital quickly and let Clark handle the mess. It was better for the hospital doctors to find out rather than keep it a secret.
With that in mind, Li Ya swiftly walked towards the window and opened it. His ward was on the third floor, at a height of around nine meters. Ordinarily, jumping from such a height would result in broken limbs, but Li Ya had newfound abilities.
"I'm not an ordinary person anymore!"
With determination, Li Ya took a deep breath, gathered his courage, and leaped out of the window.
In his mind, he envisioned a 365-degree mid-air rotation, followed by a graceful landing on one knee—a series of moves that would undoubtedly impress everyone.
However... Li Ya had overestimated his physical coordination, especially after acquiring Clark's superpowers. As soon as he turned his head, he was facing the ground directly...
Fortunately, Li Ya possessed a body as resilient as steel, or rather, a face as resilient as steel. Despite smashing his face on the concrete pavement, it remained unscathed, while the road suffered the impact.
Crackling!
A light landing sound echoed behind him as Clark jumped out alongside Li Ya. He approached him and asked, "Li Ya, are you okay? I saw your face..."
"No! You didn't see anything!" Li Ya quickly interrupted, placing his hands behind his back and adopting a masterly lonely expression. "A true hero, when gazing at the stars, should have an intimate connection with the earth."
This was the first time Clark had heard someone describe falling flat on their face in such a fresh and vulgar manner. He couldn't help but burst into laughter. "I seem to have gotten used to your serious nonsense all day... Li Ya, you said earlier that if you had my superpowers, you could keep up with my speed. Can you prove it?"
"You can catch up to you at forty percent..."
As Li Ya uttered those last words, he planted his feet on the ground and propelled himself forward like a cannon fired from its barrel.
"You're lying!" Clark activated his super speed in an instant. Donned in his red denim jacket, he resembled a red lightning bolt, appearing next to Li Ya in the blink of an eye.
The two dashed one after the other, leaving trailing shadows behind. They quickly left the hospital and ran through the town's streets, circling
around for four or five laps before coming to a halt.
While Clark's face remained calm and his heart steady, Li Ya, with only 40% of his abilities, gasped heavily, needing some time to recover fully.
"You're incredible!" Clark smiled as he walked alongside Li Ya. The friendship between them had reached a deeper level, and they had become good friends. Consequently, Clark became more casual and even started teasing him.
"It's not easy to compare with you. You may not believe me, but I'm taking the intellectual route!" Li Ya shamelessly declared.
Clark responded with an "Oh" and wrote "Who believes your nonsense" on his face, but he refrained from further teasing Li Ya. Instead, he redirected the conversation, his eyes glinting with curiosity. "Li Ya, you once mentioned that the greater the power, the greater the responsibility. Now that you possess tremendous power, what do you think your responsibility is?"
The two of them strolled up a bridge, with Li Ya leaning against the iron railing, gazing into the distance. He spoke calmly, "There are more people in this world with superpowers..."
Upon discovering he was in the DC universe, Li Ya pondered over this issue. The DC universe wasn't exactly a peaceful place, with criminals wreaking havoc by robbing banks, hijacking airplanes, and destroying buildings at every turn.
He had encountered threats from outside sources, such as Zord, the Day of Destruction, Bleniak, Wasteland Wolf, and Dark King Darkseid. In a world like this, there were even parallel universes where Superman had turned dark, establishing a tyrannical regime and eliminating many superheroes led by Batman. (This was hinted at in the movie "Batman v Superman" through a dream sequence where Batman sees armbands with 'S' symbols, representing the blackened versions of the Superman regime.)
In summary, this world was dangerous.
Li Ya sighed and continued, "I want to ally, uniting righteous individuals with superpowers to combat evil superpowers together."
Clark's eyes brightened as he grasped the significance of Li Ya's words. "If you can truly accomplish what you're saying, uniting all the good superpowered individuals, the entire world, not just Kansas... no, the whole world would be better because of you, Li Ya. I didn't expect you to have such grand ambitions."
Did he? Did he? A black question mark formed on Li Ya's face. He wanted to tell Little Superman that it was all just an act, that he only wanted to increase their friendship value and unlock his superpowers.
But deep down, Li Ya knew the true reason, and he wasn't foolish enough to reveal it to Little Superman.
Li Ya understood that, at least at this moment, he had an incredibly favourable image in Little Superman's mind.
"Well, have you thought of a name for the league?" Clark asked, brimming with anticipation.
"I've thought about it for a long time—Injustice League!" Li Ya firmly declared.
"What?"
"Ahem, it's the 'League to Combat Injustices,' or Injustice Alliance for short." Li Ya beamed with satisfaction, hiding his true intentions from Little Superman.
"Why not simply call it the Justice League?"
"Great suggestion! I'll go with that. From now on, Clark Kent, you are the vice president of the Justice League!"
"Thank you... Wait, the Justice League shouldn't consist of just the two of us. I think there should be more members involved!" Little Superman quickly realized that Li Ya had outwitted him once again.
"It will grow in the future!"
The two exchanged glances and burst into cheerful laughter.
