Altier; The Triology

It is said that when the Door of Truth is opened, immense power will be granted to those who were able to unlock it. However, it can only be opened by the keys "the world itself" has granted to seven heroes the gods themselves have chosen. An intelligent witch whose only purpose in life is to oppose the Demon Kings. An elusive mercenary who thirst for vengeance on demons and hell itself. A freedom fighter who struggles against humanity's slovenly nature. A prideful angel who wants to protect their home and place in Heaven. A powerful demihuman who yearns for justice and a world of equality. A kind elf who takes from the strong and gives to the poor. And finally, a young man who carries great ambitions. Exactly seven heroes, huh. And out of the millions of people that exist, I was chosen to be one of them. Not that I'm complaining. It's just that, fate really is a funny thing-... But I do wonder. What lies on the other side of this game that we play? What exactly is the dark truth of this world? I'll find out, no matter what happens. Even if it means exploiting those close to me. ~~~ The Thumbnail art is not my creation. All the credit however goes to the ones who first made this beautiful masterpiece. If you are the artist and you not like it, please contact me and I shall remove it at my earliest convenience. There is no NTR, per say. This story is one part of the "Trilogy" series because this book itself is one of the three main stories that makes up the true story of the Altier franchise, so please look forward to that. Now with that said. Get yourself comfortable with some snacks, music, toys( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and start reading!

Unexpected Turbulence

February 28, 1976 (Present Day)

The City of Cheshire

(Yamir's POV)

"Problems are starting to arise."

I don't know why, but that was the first thing I thought when I saw those two men approaching us.

Once the first man exited the stairway and began walking towards us, the second guy who was upstairs suddenly jumped from the second floor before gracefully landing without an injury.

Eventually, all three parties met in a low hanging lounge area somewhere to the side of the ballroom.

Still, as if it wasn't bad enough before, somehow we attracted even more attention than before. The nearby commotion got a lot louder and audible.

Is this the feeling of being the center of attention?

If so, I gotta say, it's quite nauseating.

"We're back, Freed~..." Loki said aloud, talking to the first man who came to us.

Forget me, this guy seemed to be the very star idol of the stage they got going on here.

Whoever this guy was, he was definitely a big deal.

"As I can see. So, is this the daughter you were talking about earlier, Loki?" Freed asked.

"Mhm. She is a beauty isn't she?"

Wait, so now you're just going around telling people I'm your daughter? Was that what you've been doing since you disappeared all those years ago?

Those were thoughts I wanted to protest aloud.

But before I had the chance to, Loki suddenly grabbed my breasts and began fondling them.

"What the fuck!?"

So now we are committing crimes out in the open?

"It's unfortunate though. Your tits haven't developed all that much since the day you were younger. And just when I was looking forward to the day you turn into such a young beauty~..."

"Urk…Goddamn it, Loki! Let me go!"

But just when I wanted to pry her hands off my chest, I realized that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

Not only was her grip on me was tight, she even pinched my nipples in a rather sexual manner.

A strange sensation shot up my spine, leaving me restless and unable to focus properly.

"Nah, ah, ah. Not until you say the magic word~...."

"Not this again…." I protested.

"Do it." She said, even demanding me to do so.

Since my poor breasts were held at metaphorical gunpoint, I was left with no other choice but to swallow my pride and say what she wanted to hear.

"Please let me go…Mom."

"Sorry, what was that? Couldn't hear you~..."

This bitch….

"Please let me go, Mom!"

"See, now was that so hard?" She replied while finally letting me go.

"Yes, it was actually."

"You two have….quite the bond..." Freed said, a little unsure how to react.

"Sir, you don't even know the half of it…" I said, before sighing away this sense of discomfort.

It's been years since I have last seen Loki, but the "impression" she left behind before she disappeared still left a sour taste on my tongue.

"Ugh, enough about me. Who are you, anyways?"

"Ah, please forgive my lack of manners."

"My name is Freed Maxwell. And I am the current lord in charge here." He responded politely.

So this is the guy Vert was talking about, huh. Not to mention, this is also Tyrus's father, as well.

If this is a "like father, like son" type of situation, then perhaps I'll learn a bit more about his son through Freed before I talk to Tyrus in person.

Judging from his rigorous body type, Freed Maxwell looked to be around in his early fifties.

But for some reason, something told me he was much, much older than that.

Regardless, his physique was that of an ideal bodybuilder. Bearing large arms, thick legs, and toned abs told me that he was no ordinary human.

While he doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed, I highly doubt he is a complete dumbass either.

I shouldn't underestimate this guy.

"And this guy over here is..."

"Kenji Naiden. A pleasure to make your acquaintance~...."

Once Freed gestured him forward, the man named Kenji finally stepped towards me to introduce himself.

After taking my hand, he slightly bowed to kiss it. It was kind of weird, but I didn't mind all too much.

In any case, like Freed, Kenji was a tall man, however his physique was a lot more slender and less exaggerated.

Kenji Naiden....

I wonder why that name sounded rather familiar to me.

Wait. I think I know why now. And if what I thought was actually true, then it was no wonder why I got such chilling vibes from him….

"Kenji Naiden? Kenji as in Kenji, the Immoral Savant?" I asked.

"Well, well, well! Even after all of these years, it seems my reputation still proceeds me~...."

I-…..I'm in danger.

"So I take it, you know this guy?" Freed asked me.

"The two of us never met in person till now, but I definitely heard of his previous exploits." I replied.

"A long time ago, Kenji joined the Demon-Slaying Corp at the mere age of sixteen. Since then though, he spent several years hunting down every demon that came across his path."

"Course, back then, you were considered a natural prodigy amongst your peers. Not even the most elusive or mightiest of demons was able to escape your blade, let alone survive."

"In fact, I believe your entire track record is flawless, considering how you never failed any mission, not even once."

"Hmm, that's not bad." He replied, sounding slightly impressed. But suddenly, he asked me another question, as if trying to put me to the test.

"What you told me though was some surface level knowledge. Stuff that you could dig up pretty much anywhere. So I got to ask...

"Do you know the story behind my title of "Immoral Savant"?" He asked.

At first, I was reluctant to answer.

That question clearly felt like he was trying to appraise my capabilities. Which was something that I didn't want to show off to others without proper reason.

But after I glanced back at Naoto and Loki, I noticed those two were gesturing, no, pressuring me to answer in kind.

*Sigh*.

"That's because, amongst those who were your "higher ups" at the time, you were notorious for taking the power of every demon you came across."

"You hunted your prey, killed them, and took their inhumane power for yourself. Only to rinse and repeat that process on multiple occasions."

"Because of that, you became a Desperado."

"A vicious one at that."
