Alex and Matt stood on the doorway as they looked at the scene in front of them. Alex slowly moved towards them as Matt stood frozen on his place unable to tear his eyes off them.
Alex stopped at the foot of Althea’s body as she laid there almost lifeless, her body wrapped in bandages, her dress covered with red patches of wet and dry blood. It hurt his heart to see her like that. Even though he had promised himself that he would do anything in his power to protect this tiny human, he had failed to do so.
He finally teared his eyes from her body and looked at the Alpha, disregarding the little witch who sat beside him. The Alpha sat on his knees as he looked at Althea’s face with so much pain. His hands clenched into tight fist, sat on his lap as if he was holding back from touching the human, stopping himself from doing what his heart desired.
