Chapter 1

Lorain

3 YEARS LATER...

I was looking through my album. The pictures were of when I was 15 years old.

Ah, the memories.

The door opened and in came Lucas panting.

"What happened?" I asked .

"We are - having a picnic today - with - your father so - get dressed," he said, pausing in between to take a breath.

Picnic? Why not?

"Okay dad," I point out sarcastically. Sometimes he seriously acts like my father.

That my fellows is my annoying cousin who doesn't miss a chance to annoy me. It was 12 in the morning and I was still in my PJ's. Bringing my 18 years old self out of the bed, I looked outside the window.

So, lets see where we are.

I took a glance at my bed and gaped at the amount of mess I made. There were photos all scattered on my bed

You know what, I will clean it up later.

Lets see when that 'later' will come.

I went in my closet and picked a very cute but casual outfit with zebra print on it. Now time to take a bath. I went in my bathroom and took a bath in the tub. I brushed my teeth after taking a bath and then wore my clothes that I took out.

I blow dried my hair and left it open.

I took my picnic bag which was already set because I don't go to picnics often so it is unused. I took my phone and went outside. I saw my father, Lucas already seated in the car. I went in the car and we drove off.

"Where is the picnic dad?" I curiously ask.

"Oasis Springs, my dear" my father responded.

I leaned back in my seat and tried to enjoy the ridiculously boring ride with my earbuds on.

After a while of driving, we reach towards a clear sky-blue lake.

So beautiful!

But one thing I knew that it wasn't our pack. Oh shit, how can they forget?

"Dad, I think we crossed someone else pack boundary," I said or more like shouted.

My father soon realized and we all stared at each other.

I should have did research on it, knowing due I my dad's age he keeps forgetting things.

Uh oh ...

"Dad, which pack are we in right now?" I asked panicking.

"Blood thirst pack" he says and points towards a flag.

'Run Lorain!' my dad mind linked me.

'We need to run fast Lucas.'

We all ran out. Lucas and I were the one in the end but the thing I care about the most is my father, even though he is the Alpha he is weaker than me because he participated in many wars back then and his age is not helping.

'Lorain, what are you doing? Run faster,' my father mind linked me.

'I want you to run back to the pack house dad, I will see you once I reach.'

'Run faster and reach the pack house, run in front of me.'

'Yes dad I am in front of you that's why you can't see me,' I lied

I saw my dad then running more faster then he was before. I kept running but soon lost the track of him.

'Are guys there?' I ask.

'Yes we are. Where are you guys, I can't find you.'

'We are running. Dad take care, bye!'

I blocked my mind linked and focus on running faster.

Lucas and I were still running but suddenly a wolf came in front of us and tackled Lucas.
