A Challenge
All the wolves listened intently, wondering what their Alpha was about to announce. Safira wondered too. She didn't know what was going on. She looked at her father's mate and her half-brother. They had smiles on their faces. Perhaps her half-brother had found his mate.
But when she saw her father turn to look at her, the gears of her mind began to turn. Everything happened so quickly. The expression on Luna Cecil's face and Wendell's shifted in a split second as they too turned to look at her.
"I have decided to appoint Safira as my successor. She shall be the next Alpha of Solarfang!"
Color drained from Safira's face. She was stunned by the announcement, this was not what she had expected. There had to be some mistake. The wolves of the pack howled and cheered and the announcement. There was chatter amongst the wolves too.
