Chapter 3

Princess Avura is a vampire princess of 21years who lives an isolated life in the vampire kingdom of Toriso. Her father, king Roberts had to reluctantly banish her to a life of solitude on the advise of her step mother Queen kendral.

Rumour has it that Princess Avura is not just a vampire but a powerful reaper. Meaning she could never stop feeding on her victim till they drop dead. To make matters worse she feed on both humans and vampires alike. It was in her first ever reaper episode that it was allege she killed her own mother making the king banish her to an isolated life in a cave where the supply of blood is limited and she was expected to learn self control. She was put under the care of master Dee who is also a reaper but one who had master the act of self control.

Her forced quest for self control had already taken her nine years in a cave close to the borders of the human kingdom. It was intentionally done that way so the day she loses control of herself again a human blood woundn't be difficult for her to find. It was also a deliberate test of her determination to keep herself under control She was in the last year to make it ten years befor she could go back to the palace. In all those years she had never stepped her feet into the human kingdom because according to master Dee to prevent you have to first avoid.

"Hey master Dee no words of wisdom for me this morning she asked one early morning after they were done with sword training. Master Dee had been an all round mentor for her teaching her to use the word so she doesn't rely always on her vampire strenght which by the way wasn't at the peak since her intake of blood was restricted to the minimum. According to master Dee a vampire without strength have to fight smart.

"I have no wisdom words for you today but some strong words of advise as your years of training draws to an end" he replied with a smile on his face.

She quickly led him to their favorite spot under a tree to listen to what he has to say.

"Alright I am all ears." She said grinning from ear to ear. She thought it will be his usual stories but she was wrong.

"First of all I want to congratulate you on your perseverance so far over the last nine years. I know it wasn't easy for you the daughter of the king used to royal treatment to be subjected to harsh conditions here" he started.

"I am okay with that, after all I killed my mother I owe it as an obligation to her and others who died that night to do so." She replied sadly wondering where he was going to with the discussion.

"Yes I was coming to that. Remember the night of you first reaper episode , can you specifically remember what you told me triggered your rage.?

"Yes I can, I came home that night to meet my dog dead. I was both angry and sad that I couldn't control myself, that's how I went into a killing spray. "

That night experience wasn't ever going to leave her memory as it marked the night of a new beginning and discovery for her. The reaper mode is usually switched on with a sad event and can be done purposely which Avura had learnt to do now. It was a reapers way of escaping the pain when they hurt. That was what happened that night on seeing her dog Boyd died that night she went into rage which was triggered by the fact she could tell he was killed but by whom she couldn't tell.

The scary thing about the reaper mode is that you can never really take into account the people you killed in that rage for the first time. So when she was accused of killing her mother after her first episode she had nothing to say in her defence.

"I believed you were framed for the murder of your mother" Master Dee dropped the bombshell.

"I don't understand" she replied in surprise as she looked at him in confusion
