The Reunion
The long awaited day finally came I was so happy, I kept singing I've got joy like a river and sis Jay will join in as backup. we were all set to go so I looked at sis Jay, and said Thank for making these day a reality and not a dream I really appreciate, Lora darling you are family anything I do for you is because you worth it so don't embarrass me by thanking me, ok sis Jay wiping my tears as she helped me to saying oh Don't spoil this beautiful face now it's too early let's reach home first. Home I smiled my mama and my boys I hurriedly picked up our bag and sis jay closed the door as we started our journey to my hometown....
we arrived Lagos very late at nite so we Lodge into a hotel room to continue the journey the next day.
we arrived at the airport very early we got boarded and what seems like forever finally came to an end I was finally at home I breath in the freshness of my state an smiled looking at sis Jay I said Home at last.
we arrived and things were not looking as I left it everything changed but i can't forget my home because that's where my loved ones are. we got a bike that brought us to our area and we asked around we were directed to my home. I got home it was all quite so we sat under the orange tree waiting for them to return.
My mum arrived first she was sooo shock seeing me we rush to embrace each order with tears and sorrows in our heart we cried our eyes out. mama, Lora is this you my baby, yes mama is me your Lora, Ahh God I thank you, for bringing my Lora back to me I thank you, you didn't disappoint me ah see my baby now a woman sooo beautiful I smiled and said just like you mama we both laugh, mama this sis jay she's my big sister in Ghana, ah my daughter please come she came and they hugged each other we went inside arrange our bags in my room while waiting for those crazy beings to come back hours later they rushed in from only God knows where.
Mama good evening where are you guys coming from, from the field they answered I was just smiling good evening I stood up and said mama see my boys upon hearing that they rush me in a tight hug sister Lora mama is sis Lora ah we all cried and consoled each other and you know sis jay won't be an exception in the tears festival its one of the many things she knows how to do best.
The following morning we did the chores despite my mom's denial we prepared breakfast and served everyone after we were done with lunch they call came to hear my story I looked at my mom and said mama I don't even know how or where to start the story but I will give you the synopsis, after we left here for Ghana I started we arrived at my aunt's place, she called her daughter and told her to direct me to the maid's room my mom looked at me and couldn't believe her ears, I continued my narration and stopped after telling them of my encounter with sis jay my journey was lonely and arduous mama I cried.
my mom looked at me and said sorry my baby I didn't know all this will happened whenever I call your aunt she gives me the impression that your in school it wasn't long I got to hear from her that you ran away because she caught you in bed with her husband. I cried that day but I knew deep down that the baby I gave birth to will never do such a thing so I stopped calling her but now I thank God that i finally have my baby with me thank you Jay for been an amazing sister to my Lora silver nor gold have I not but heavens will continue to shine forth it's glories on you thank you dear, is ok mama your my mother now and I won't want you to embarrass me by saying thank you.
