We watched them go.

“I didn’t know they were gay,” I said.

“It’s the best kept secret in Hollywood,” she informed me. “Actually, it’s probably the only kept secret in Hollywood, but I think more and more people are figuring it out. There aren’t very many secrets in Hollywood.”

“I guess not.”

I noticed two photographers crossing the street to follow them. I looked at Car. “Paparazzi?” I asked.

She sighed. “Yes, they’re always around. Don’t be surprised if we end up in a tabloid. Now I know why Ryan asked us to dinner. It’ll look like a double date.” She laughed as we turned back to look through the store.

“What’s Stephens?” I asked.

“It’s a mustrestaurant. French and local food. Everyone goes there to be seen. I wasn’t surprised that he had reservations there. Ryan is always looking for publicity…except about Wilson.”

“By the way, was that Brick Reynolds I saw at the party last night?” I asked as Car looked through some tapes.
