Chapter 17: Mana and Growth spurt

Miku after finishing it off quickly uses the system to heal herself the wounds on her tail slowly heal eventually as her body fully heals Miku quickly digs into her meal her instincts once again demanding her to eat.

However, this time as she eats she notices a small shard that is almost crystal in texture the size of a finger, and before she can even wonder what it is her hand grabs it quickly and eats it.

As soon as Miku eats the rest of the corpse suddenly a sharp pain shoots through her body for but a moment before she suddenly feels like power is literally flowing through her veins

Miku then quickly opens her stat page and notices something new the previously zero mana control is now a five which completely stuns Miku making her excited as she thinks that now she can use magic and immediately holds her hands out while mentally shouting Fireball.

Miku then stands there looking like an idiot as if nothing happens and then begins to look around. " Wow, I am so glad no one saw me acting like a moron, or else I'd preferably die of embarrassment."

Miku then opens her enhancements page and looks at the new changes wondering if there is something in there that will allow her to use magic, then a few new options open up but the most eye-catching one was for Internals.

Internals: Mana Crystal 100BM

Miku didn't hesitate to get it but what surprised her was after she did there were a lot more upgrades that showed up as well as a skill in the new skill window that she forgot about.

After Miku's Hunting spree she had a large stock of BM especially because of the Harpy as that had added a large chunk of biomass by itself and the remaining 135 she still had from earlier she then proceeded to use a lot of it to get all the new upgrades.

Skills: Appraisal, Novice Mana Control

Blood: Improved Acid Blood 100BM

Legs: Joint reinforcement Lvl2=25BM.

Arms: Joint reinforcement Lvl2=25BM.

Muscle reinforcement Lvl2=45BM.

Tail: Muscle reinforcement Lvl2=45BM.

Mana Channel Lvl1=100BM

Exoskeleton: Skin hardening Lvl2=40BM.

Mana Channel Lvl1=100BM

Claws: Claw reinforcement Lvl1=25BM.

Mana Channel Lvl1=100BM

Tail spike: Spike reinforcement Lvl1=25BM.

Miku after getting all of the Lvl2 upgrades as well as the blood upgrade and Mana channels for all except her tail spike, as well as reinforcing her claws and tail spike finds that suddenly her body is racked with pain.

Within seconds Miku's barely 3 feet tall body swells and grows taller making limbs snap and regrow and repair themselves over and over again until her new frame is a good 6 feet tall with lean muscles and an even darker grey exoskeleton and sharper-looking claws and tail spike.

Eventually, the pain stops as Miku's body stops growing causing her to finish hissing out loud while swearing constantly.

"F@#$% M@#$%&#@ why is it I keep forgetting about the dam pain when I upgrade I so wish I had passed out there then I could have skipped feeling all that pain."

Miku then slowly stands. " I swear that the moment I see the quality upgrades that I can buy is like my brain shuts down and I start doing stupid things getting all of them at once."

" I mean come on self the upgrades only change my body both internally and externally effectively destroying the old to make the new." Miku sighs as she berates her own stupidity
