Chapter 23

After receiving the devastating call telling her of Alex's death, Lilly's world came crashing down around her. The weight of the news bore down on her, causing her heart to race and her breath to become shallow.

She felt like she was reliving the moment when she saw her parents dead body in the morgue, she had tried to fail Alex number but she couldn't.

Panic gripped her, and she could feel her body trembling uncontrollably. Her hands shook so violently that she struggled to hold onto her phone, her lifeline to the outside world.

Desperate to find help, Lilly attempted to dial 911. But her panic attack intensified, making it almost impossible for her to focus.

The lack of oxygen made her head spin, and before she knew it, darkness overcame her, and she lost consciousness.

In a stroke of luck, her neighbor an elderly lady who heard had noticed something crash in her house, hurried to the scene and saw Lilly's distress and immediately called for medical assistance.

The paramedics arrived at her home swiftly, their training kicking in as they assessed the situation.

Recognizing the severity of her condition, they wasted no time in placing her on a stretcher and rushing her to the nearest hospital.

Once at the hospital, the medical team sprang into action. They hooked Lilly up to an oxygen mask, providing her with the life-giving breath she desperately needed.

As the oxygen flowed into her lungs, her body gradually began to calm, and her panic attack subsided.

Meanwhile, the hospital staff, aware of the urgency of the situation, began going through Lilly's emergency contact list. The first name on the list was Alex's. With a heavy heart, they dialed his number, hoping for a miracle.

On the other end of the line, Alex's phone rang, but there was no response. The hospital staff's hearts sank, fearing the worst.

They left a message, informing him that a woman named Lilly Storman had been admitted to the hospital and that they needed him to come as soon as possible.

Time seemed to stretch on endlessly as they waited for a response. The hospital staff, filled with a mix of worry and empathy, did everything they could to ensure Lilly's comfort and stability.

They didn't know what had happened to put her into such a state but they wanted to provide her with the support she desperately needed.

Minutes turned into hours, and still, there was no word from Alex. The hospital staff began to wonder if he had received their message, or if he was even aware of Lilly's situation.

They felt a sense of helplessness, knowing that Lilly needed someone by her side during this difficult time. The nurse searched about her record and found out that her parents were deceased. She took pity on the poor girl lying there alone.

As the night wore on, the hospital staff remained vigilant, never wavering in their commitment to Lilly's care.

They monitored her vitals, adjusted her oxygen levels, and provided her with gentle reassurance.

They were determined to be her support system, even in the absence of her loved ones.

Finally, as the first rays of dawn began to break through the darkness, a figure rushed at the hospital entrance.

It was Alex, his face etched with worry, he carried a bandage on his head and hand. It was early this morning when he had searched for his phone that he saw the message and had rushed to the hospital with Kyle by his side.

The hospital staff greeted him with empathy and understanding, guiding him to Lily's room.

As he entered, his eyes met Lilly lying on the bed with an oxygen attracted to get nose, and a flood of emotions washed over him.

He approached her bed, taking her hand in his, offering her the comfort and strength she so desperately needed, he didn't understand why she suddenly had a panic attack.

Kyle sat on the sofa with a worried expression on his face." Is she going to be fine" Alex asked in a low voice.

"Lilly is strong, I am sure she will be fine" he tried to assure Alex, it was the first time he was seeing Alex so vulnerable.

Soon Lilly began to wince, she held Alex's hand tight, as she screamed his name, she immediately woke up with tears in her eyes.

Alex Immediately, held her tight, his eyes widen in shock when she screamed his name, he wondered why she was screaming his name, with tears in her eyes.

"Alex, you are Alive"
