Vietnam (Mantis Brandt III) Part 6

The men were angry at my words and kept pointing their guns.

"Polaris, let him go" I said to Polaris.

Polaris stops using her powers and frees the man from her control.

Upon regaining his mobility, the man stands up and approaches his partners.

Looking at them, I ask:

"We've already released him, now can you put your weapons down?"

Ignoring my words, the one who looks like the leader asks us:

"What do you want in this place? Foreigners aren't welcome in Pama Temple"

Seeing as they didn't lower their weapons, I go straight to the point. With a serious look, I say:

"We are looking for something that was stolen from my friend and we have found out that it is in this place because of her precognition power. So I hope you give it to us, you thieves, or else we will attack with everything we got"

The girls rolled their eyes at my words.

After all, that book didn't belong to us, it was something from the real Irene Adler.

The men were furious upon hearing my unreasonable words.

"Get out, or else you will pay the consequences!" the leader said as they kept pointing their guns at us.

Seeing that they are too stubborn, I could only sigh.

Polaris released her powers and snatched their weapons. Before they could react, Psylocke blasted them with a psychic wave.

The armed group was stunned. Taking advantage of that, we knocked them out.

Polaris chains them using the metal of their armor.

Dealing with these guys, Psylocke seeks the information we need from their minds.

When she finished, she says:

"These people are an alien race called the Kree. The people of this temple were exiled from their home planet for their pacifist beliefs"

"And they are not the only ones, they also protect an alien race called the Cotati"

I am surprised. The Kree and the Cotati, now I understand why the Pama Temple was familiar to me.

But hey, even if the priests here are pacifists, we can't let them have the book of truth, especially if they still communicate with the Supreme Intelligence.

"I guess this is getting problematic, don't you think Alex?" Dominos said.

"Domino is right, they are aliens and if we confront them, it could cause us problems in the future, especially if they ask their home for help" Irene said.

"You don't have to worry too much about that, after all we only came for a book, we don't have to kill them, so let's go" I said to them as I entered the temple.

The girls looked at each other and just sighed, as they followed me ignoring the Kree group they chained up.

When we entered the temple, we met a group of priests guarding the entrance.

"Please, intruders have to leave. Intruders are not allowed to enter this place" one of the priests said.

<And here we go again> I thought as I let out a sigh.
