chapter Seven: sexually abused

Today, evening everyone was free .Uncle Richard was off duty and was having a rest in his bed room.Nicole went to Claro's place . Raphael had gone to watch a football match at Nelson Mandela stadium.l was left all to myself in the house .The,whole time l was in my bedroom.k thought that maybe uncle Richard was sleeping .l felt so bored as l started feeling about sleepy suddenly l heard my bedroom door open slowly. l thought to myself who could this person could l got so scared .l thought that thieves had broke into the house .But to my surprise, it was Uncle Richard.My greatest worries had come true.From the time uncle Richard started bad touching me l knew that he was up to something.l stood up from my bed .

' What are you doing in here.'l asked.

' What! what kind of question is this? You mean am not allowed to move into the rooms in my own house? Come on Alessia,You can't chase your uncle out of your room.' Uncle Richard spoke as he came closer to me.l just couldn't believe my eyes. l was unable to utter a word because l was shocked with fear to the core.Uncle Richard tried getting close to me bit l kept in moving backwards towards my dressing mirror but l ended up knocking myself I. the wall.

l didn't know how l was going to escape from this man's wrath . Coz he had now caged me on the wall with his two hands,More over l was half way naked because l was used to dressing that way in my room and l didn't know that one day someone would enter my room without my permission and do what uncle Richard us doing to me now.

' Alessia you are growing too fast .And you need to learn two or more lessons that an old girl like you should know to please her elders'

l actually hated the way uncle Richard called me an old girl.Befoer l knew it ,Uncle Richards hand was now moving down my body.past my chest,then to down my tatmy until it reached it's final destination.l could see that uncle Richard's body was shaking.l couldn't bare this any more,l tried to pull myself away from him but he pinned me to the wall.He had now began to be rough on me and the worst happened he started to kiss me.After uncle Richard was done, l rubbed off his nasty and smelly saliva from my lips then he said.

' Alessia you are now a grown up why not do the same for me'

l felt so disgusted for what he had done.Coz it was worse than my imagination.l did the one thing that came into my mind. l knocked down one of the glass vessels that were close and picked up one of the broken pieces and cut uncle Richard across his hand.

' Alessia,am sorry l just couldn't help it's

' Get out of my room you scoundrel,l hate you, l never want to see you agt,get out Richard Shoana '

l shouted at uncle Richard as tears rolled down my cheeks.As l was upstairs with uncle Richard,the doorbell rang.Nicole and Raphael are back .l could see Uncle Richard panicking.

Within a blink of an eye uncle Richard was already out of my room.He used the back door of the house and ran away.l whipped away my tears for l didn't want Raphael and Nicole to know what their dad had done to me . l went down stairs to open the door for them but to nt surprise,it wasn't Raphael not Nicole.it was aunt Evly.

l couldn't hold my tears for long since l was still hurt for what uncle Richard had done to me.l began to shed tears afresh.

' Oh, Alessia.What' s the matter?'

' Aunt,_ _ _ _' l didn't have the courage to report uncle Richard to aunt Elvy.l just lost all the words and hugged aunt evly.

' Aunt, l missed you so much.if only you were here, what is happening and want was going to happen wouldn't have happened.'

' So, these are tears of joy that am back. Right?'

l knoded my head to say yes but the truth is that l just couldn't mention anything concerning uncle Richard to her since she didn't get what l was trying to bring up.

' Alessia,stop crying am now here '

So l carried aunt Elvy's bags to her room but l just couldn't stay there for long,l just couldn't bare seeing pictures of the man that claimed to be my good uncle.l rushed to my room to remove the pieces of glass from my bedroom floor before anyone could see them or injure someone.
