About a week after her conversation with Anna, Najenda agreed to make an appeal to the soldiers of the Revolutionary Army. Most responded to this appeal and returned to peaceful life, all the while pretending that they had nothing to do with the revolution. But alas... there were those who continued the resistance. Such were immediately branded as traitors to the motherland and enemies of the state. A new army was formed especially for their elimination - the GS Troops. It took a couple of months to completely destroy the remnants of the Revolutionary Army, but this formation was able to successfully destroy the enemy.

Leon was promoted to the rank of marshal for his services to the Empire and thanks to Anna's help he was able to get the "GS Troops" established. Already after the destruction of the rebel remnants, the young marshal was able to demonstrate to the new authorities his skills as a superior officer and prove the effectiveness of his army.

Anna as well as Leon was promoted to the rank of marshal. She devoted herself fully to her work and began, along with her Imperpol men, to cleanse the Empire of the remaining filth, which she did an excellent job with. Her new deputy to replace Leon who had left was Hector, who was also promoted to Colonel General.

The Yeageri squad had been disbanded, and Esdeath had not prevented it, even though she was unhappy to part with her subordinates. But now that the Night Raid and the Revolutionary Army were gone, they were no longer needed.

As for the Night Raid itself... officially, the new government said that it had dealt with the organisation and that all their members had received the punishment they deserved. In reality, all but Najenda were on the loose, and each of them had been given enough money to live in the Capital for a month, but their teigu had been returned to the Imperial Treasury.

Lubbock continued to oversee his shop and was going to grow it into a huge chain, while waiting for his boss to be released. Leone didn't stop her licentious lifestyle, scamming young boys from the villages coming into the Capital. Chelsea... she disappeared, just vanished, and no one knows what happened to her. Akame, after her sister was cured of her drug addiction, took Kurome with her and left the Empire on a long voyage to the east. Tatsumi returned to his home village where he met Sayo, about a year later they both married and had a child, and promised never to return to the Capital again.

Najenda received the pardon Anna had promised, but she was not taken back into military service because the severity of her crimes was too great. Instead, she received a prison sentence of fifteen years, and the walls of the palace prison became her new home for a long time. Esdeath is known to frequent her cell, though no one knows what the two of them talk about.

Volkov, along with the Emperor and the rest of the ministers, has fully focused his energies on rebuilding the country. Many harsh laws passed during Onest's reign were repealed to please the people, thus gaining more and more support from the populace.

Yagi Ormfoot continued her work and with Leon's help was able to mass produce weapons, helping the young Marshal to provide his troops with the latest weaponry.

Leon and Esdeath had a wedding about two years after the end of the civil war. And soon they had a child, a blue-haired girl whom both parents named Emily. Outwardly, she was completely into her mother, but Esdeath likes to say that the girl's eyes were like her father's...glowing, too.

Seven years later, with the country fully strengthened and the dark times seemingly gone, the Empire's power was finally able to fully focus on the neighbouring countries. Intelligence increasingly began to report that the armies of the North, West and South were beginning to regain strength and there was already reason to suspect that all three countries were about to unite. The Empire in turn launched a massive campaign of agitation and propaganda, urging the people to prepare for war.

The Great Three Years' War - so it was called in the future by scholars and historians. Although the opponents gathered an army of millions, hoping to win this war, it did not help them. The Empire, unlike neighbouring countries, did not tread on the ground and long ago began to rearm the army with the latest firearms. The army also received a new development of Yaga - howitzers. Let the artillery in the war was small in number, but the soldiers even after the first use of it nicknamed it the God of War, because just for one volley howitzers took thousands of lives, while tearing the enemy positions to shreds. But the greatest contribution to the war was made by the Teigu owners. Esdeath alone slaughtered tens of thousands of soldiers, making no secret of how much she enjoyed it.

The Empire's victory in the war was obvious, but this time the country decided not to be petty and take everything. All three states were annexed to the Empire after the war ended, thus the country was able to unite the entire continent.

It took fifteen years for the Empire's new government to build a single powerful state, and now people could safely say, "The new Empire, confidently entered its golden age."

Leon was in his room, looking at the Iron Cross. He had forgotten about all these things: the Iron Cross, the swastika armband, the Iron Eagle and the SS Dead Head. Reminders of his homeworld... pushing away the flood of memories along with the unnecessary thoughts, he tucked the things back into the box and rose from his chair and left the room.

"Why don't I just throw them away...?"

As soon as Leon stepped outside, he was immediately attacked by a sudden attack from behind. Dodging and dodging to the side, he immediately caught the little blue-haired prankster.

- Who did I catch? - Leon asked, holding his daughter, who was struggling to get away.

- Let go, Dad! - Emily asked, stopping her struggles.

- Nope. There is a punishment for assaulting a high officer of the Empire..." Leon said in a commanding tone and smiled predatorily. - Tickle!

- NO!!!

The girl continued her attempts to escape and Leon proceeded with the punishment. The escape attempts were futile and Emily had no choice but to defend herself and roll around on the floor laughing. Fortunately for the girl, help came quickly.

- What's going on here?

Leon stopped and together with Emily looked up at Esdeath, who had her arms crossed sternly on her chest, but was looking at the two people dearest to her with a smile and kindness. The girl broke free of her captivity and immediately hid behind her mother.

- Emily, come downstairs. Dad and I need to talk.

- OK, Mum.

The girl immediately ran downstairs, and as soon as the two parents were alone, Esdeath went over to her husband and began to adjust the creases in his clothes. When Esdeath learnt that she was going to become a mother, her maternal instinct awoke in her - the girl kept walking with a smile on her face, putting her hands to her stomach. Leon's reaction was very different, when he learnt about Esdeath's pregnancy, he did not know how to react: he was happy, but at the same time he felt a certain fear inside himself, and with it excitement and panic. The future father often talked to Bals, who was eager to help, because he understood what emotions the Marshal of the Empire was feeling, because he himself had experienced similar feelings.

Even after the birth of the girl, the parents focused on the education of their child, and this brought them closer together. The girl's training began at the age of five, and Leon took an active part in it, mostly out of a desire for his daughter to grow up to be a more compassionate girl than her mother had been, so he prevented his daughter from being instilled with cruelty. To do this, he had to simultaneously influence Esdeath in some way, mainly on her opinion that weaklings deserved to die. With great persistence, Leon had succeeded in doing so, and now she simply didn't care about them - "They died, their problem." But nothing could be done about her sadism, her desire to subjugate and humiliate: it had already become Esdeath's personal fetish. Her desire for battle was only subdued by sparring with Leon, which was not to the death, but to the death, and by the Three Years' War, where Esdeath was able to enjoy battles to the full. Afterwards, they had a quiet family life, interspersed with hunting, training, and their duties as generals of the Empire.

- Here we go. - Esdeath finished adjusting her clothes and looked up at Leon.

- And what did you want to talk to me about?

- I've been thinking about something and I thought I'd talk to you about it. What do you think about taking a family trip across the Empire?

- Do you want to see the world?

- I do! Since the Three Years' War, the country has acquired new territories I've never been to before. There, we might meet some powerful new monsters and enemies. I also want Emily to see the world, since she's never been further than the Capital.

- There's another reason, isn't there?

- ...I'm bored.

- Well... In that case, I think we deserve a holiday for our services to the state.

- So you agree?

- Of course I agree, why should I object? Besides, I'm still entitled to an honour from the emperor.

- I love you, Leon.

- As I love you.

As they approached each other for a kiss, the two parents paused, shifting their gaze to their child, who was surreptitiously watching them from around the corner.

- Ouch!

Emily ran away as soon as she was spotted, but Leon and Esdeath couldn't help laughing.
