Under Arrest
"What?!"
Reese and Aila almost exclaimed at the same time.
"Looks like somebody shot her. Let's talk later, the local police have arrived. I will update you."
Reese and Aila agreed and ended the call. Dana stood with her back against her truck. The local police were busy gathering the evidence they could get.
"What happened here?"
The police chief went there himself as crime was very rare in this county. He looked agitated, seeing a lot of security personnel with Marcus. It isn't every day that they see such VIPs.
"We wanted to confront her, but when we arrived here, she was already dead."
Marcus explained with all honesty, as they wanted Lia alive to get to the bottom of the problem. The police chief rubbed his chin as he walked around looking at the tire tracks.
"You know sir, that is too convenient, when you find the person dead to cover up for your confrontation gone wrong scenario."
