6: First Mission For All Classes
✨Class 1-F ✨
"Okay class, lucky us. The school has come up with a test of our abilities in the real world. If you botch it up. You will be expelled. But if you bring good results. You will remain and if you do very well you can even go up in class. After the test, ranks will be assigned to you. Note the rank isn't affecting your future. It's only affecting within the class you are in presently. We have 100 students, so the rank will be determined by your numbers and class. For example, S class, rank 1 and so on. And in this test you need five in your team. So select your members and submit the list to me by PE (Physical exercise). Good day class." Mr Agustin announced that morning. It was like the previous day duel wasn't anything. Mr Agustin remained in my mind throughout that day.
"Okay, we have you, Emmaus and me. That makes three. We need two more." Elena was saying. I was shocked. She was adding me to the team. Like a friend. I was very happy. "You want me on your team." "Yeah, you are our friend after all."
"Um, can we join you guys. We promise not to hold you back." I looked up and saw a black haired girl with a yellow haired boy near her. They looked weak and unsettled especially the girl. "What can you do?" "I am Abigail Breslin and my friend is Esteban Marcos." The girl replied.
"Oh! Sorry I forgot to ask your names. Now that that is settled, what are your abilities?" The boy replied this time. "I don't have a grand ability like instant kill technique or time stoppage like you. My ability is fireworks generation. Although I can make it dangerous but I am not strong enough. My ability allows me cause distraction alone with sound and light. I can't defeat enemies with it." He had a smooth voice like water rubbing rocks. "I use thermokinesis, I mostly help him out with his ability but I also use it for myself. I can increase or decrease the temperature of anything, although those who have mastered it can generate fire, ice and wind. I can create a mini blizzard but not for long. At most ten minutes." Abigai spoke up when Esteban was done. They began to talk about all they've done after getting their abilities. They were best friends from childhood. After consorting with Emmaus and Elena the duo were accepted into the team. Finally our team was complete.
Two days later we were to go to a city where monster attacks was rampant, most humans were still there and it was our job to take them out of the city. We of the lower classes were expected to stay out of the way of our higher grade heroes, we were to stay away from the fight and focus on evacuating. If a monster accosts us we were to run without even trying to fight. I was angry, they were trying to show off the higher grades to other schools. I would do as they said but I am not making any promises. We arrived at The Darklands, that was the name of the city. It was one of the cites inhabited by and ruled by monsters. No human was welcome not even human villains. Most of the humans were in hiding, underground or in fortified houses. This city was ruled by a talking dragon called Anark, his villain name was Lord of Darkness. Nobody who had encountered him had escaped in one piece. How was the school expecting first years to win against an hundred years old beast. I hoped none of us encountered him. I and my new friends began the extraction immediately. The higher grades were throwing attacks like crazy up and down. A building exploded and I saw one of the S class heroes, Amaya's sister Eva fighting a giant monster. The parts of the building rained down and I saw a kid staring up at a huge chunk of glass coming to him. I wanted to save him but remembered the rule. Damn the rule, I couldn't let a kid die in my presence and so I dashed to him increasing my flow of time. Eva looked at me. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, FOOL! YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO DO ANYTHING." The monster attacking her had melted by her lava. I ignored her and got to the kid. I raised my hands and reduced the speed of the falling glass. Carrying the boy I leaped back to my friends. Time went back to normal. Eva glowered and came towards me. I was ready to hear whatever she would say, I dropped the boy near Emmaus. I clenched my fists. Getting closer to me, she slapped me hard I reeled back and Elena stepped towards my front.
"Hey bitch, don't touch my friend. At least when you are busy showing off your power, he is doing something useful by saving lives." Eva glared at Elena. "And what can a weakling like you know?" "I know you are jealous of his ability. Your sister never stopped talking about a time user. You wanted to see his power that was why you sought to enter into the school. And also you feel inferior to your sister. You act high and mighty but you are just an insecure little brat…" Eva was shocked. How did she know? Elena didn't care, she was ready for the consequences but the girls didn't have a chance to duke it out as a roar sounded in the sky and a ten feet dragon landed near us alongside six smaller ones. We were in trouble, the boss had come to play.
