Dinner with Friend on an Off Day Part I
“So she’s sulking now? Of all time?”
The amused tone and jovial laughter from Ace slightly irritated Joke. It seemed that no matter what happened, this Brazilian man could always find them fun!
“It’s not funny. That’s right. Now of all time,” he said, sighing.
“Nah. That’s super funny.” Another laughter followed. “Seriously, though. You normally spoil her rotten. She says jump, you jump, stuff like that. What’s gotten into you today that made you scold her like that? Now she’s sulking.”
Joke let out a long sigh. The two of them were sitting in the hotel restaurant’s private room, with their dinner and some alcohol (that Joke had sworn never to touch again in his life) on the table.
