War

[So, what do you want to do now? oh Excuse me, but how can i call you?] The Goblin Leader asked after the other bird flew away.

[Well, i don't have a name, you too i assume.]

[That's well. Usually im just called Leader or so, so yeah]

After that was said, an awkward atmosphere spread

[Do you want to come inside the Village or do you want to stand here?]

[Yes, why don't we go inside and speak more about the incoming war? let's make a battle plan to organize the troops]

[Sure let's do that, In the last fights we mostly came back with a defeat, maybe you can help us with a better strategy so that we can defeat them.]

While going in the direction of the house of the Leader they already began to talk about the strategy.

[Hmm, can you tell me waht fighting formations you used? Oh and How much fought and what the rate of injury and death was?]

[Yes, so the first few battels we used the most common infantry with all our warriors, we lost about 50 of our comrades with that strategy if i remember correctly and about 30 were injured and are now able to fight again after recovering.]

After doing that method we tried to change the attack pattern so that we now had 3 groups, two of these groups would start marching around the army and try to encircle them so that we could attack them from the sides but they noticed that and could do countermeasures, we lost about another 50 Goblins there and about 20 were injured.

The next thing we tried was to tame horse to make a cavalry but we noticed that they are simply to tall for us to ride them and that it would be to unefficient, so we stopped doing that and dropped the idea, so here we are now.

And while trying to find another method, we were attacked right before the village, that time we lost over 100 Warriors to repel them and injured got about 200 or more at that time, it took us really a lot to repel them, and the most frustrating part of all that is that we only killed about 30-50 if we take all of the battles into acount.]

[...They are simply too strong because of that ritual]

[Do you know if using the Ritual creates any weakness for the user? If you know that could maybe use it to our advantage]

[If i knew a weakness i already would've used that to Kill them but i simply don't know much about this Ritual, and that what i know is not even confirmed to be true, it's just something i heard when i was young]

[That's a problem...have you thought about using other Animals as a substitute, maybe wolves or so?]

[Yes, that may be a posibility, but we don't know of any nearby Wolves so we could try to tame them.]

[Do you even have Armor or useful weapons? I saw the ones at the Castle using pretty good Armor, they used swords that looked as good as new, the only thing i saw your guad outside using, was a not rusty but also not really good sword i think.]

[Oh, that's mainly because they can forge weapons, since they are living underground and often work with ores, at least that's what i heard.]

[Oh so like the dwarves huh?]

[Yeah basically]

[Oh we are here, would you like to come inside the house?]

[Hmm? What?] The leader said while tilting his head to the side

[Im too big to fit inside the house, you know, im about 2 meter tall and 2 meter wide, I don't even fit through the door.]

[Oh...now that you mention it your quite big, should i let my subordinates build a war tent so that we can talk in there and plan?]

[i don't particular care about it, we can talk just standing here, if you want to you can get a chair since i think it would be tiring to always stand when talking to me, also, you don't need to look up to me, we can just talk without eye contact.]

[If you say so] The Goblin Leader said with a shrug.

[I have one more question, how many are you know in total? you lost about 200 in battle and about 250 were injured, but what is the exact Number?]

[Oh sry but i don't know that, hey Vice, do you know the exact number?]

The Leader asked the Vice-Leader that was standing beside them the whole time while listening to the discussion.

[I indeed know it, before the war our number was 867 in total. After the all of the deaths that occured to us, our number sunk to 626, that means we lost 241 Goblins in total.]

[The Number of the ones that were injured amounts to 277 Goblins if you take back the 33 that are already cured, the number amounts to 244 still injured Goblins.]

[The Goblins that can fight amount to 230. That only includes the adult and combat capable ones, Childs and weak ones aren't listed but the amount of people who are well and alive amounts to 382.]

[Oh man you really have a good memory to remember that much wow] The Bird said surprised

[But well, how do i say it without exegerating....äh if you fight against them one more time, you are definitely dead. The only advantage you have, is that you are problably more in number but if i think about their individual Strenght, then that doesn't matter.]

[Oh we now that to well, that is one of the reasons as to why we accepted the offer of you. We wouldn't live much longer if we fight for us alone, and instead of you helping them whe would rather have you helping us.]

[I understand, let's hope The other one is coming back faster with Lunaris so that we can have more assurance to win this]

[Oh i heard you saying this name a lot now, who or what is that?]

[Oh you don't know? It's our Leader and the one who made us believe into our new god. For believing in him our God gave him a Name that Matched him and he want's us to call him that now, he's really a good and nice leader you know.]

[What?!? He got a name? Just for that? I don't believe it, i don't know how you see it but that a Beast get's a name is really rare i heard, if a Beast get's a name from a stronger being, or even a god, it will undergo transformation and get much Stronger, but i also heard that if the name doesn't match the creature and his soul, it won't bring much of an effect]

[Is that so?, then aparrently it was a bad name since Lunaris didn't change in any way? but what ever we can ask him later when he is here]

Suddenly a the Bird noticed a big group of about 150 coming closer to the Village

[Hey Leader, I don't know if you noticed, but we are getting guests in a few minutes...and not the bunch that wants to talk, but they want to kill]

[What? what are you talki...wait, are the Cave-Goblins attacking us?? Oh no that's not good, why do you think so?]

[Well, i have a quite keen perception in that regard so i can feel killing intent when it's about 10 Km away]

[That's quite the nice ability you have there]

[Yeah sometimes it's really useful, but we shouldn't be talking herem let's inform all so that we are prepared, but damn, now we just talked and didn't make a proper strategy, well whatever, let's improvise and do things according to the thing they do in battle.]

"Oh man, Hurry up lunaris and you idiot, come back quickly, I don't know how long we can hold them off. He's been gone for a whole hour now, which means he should be there soon or he's already there."

[Hey Leader, if im right Lunaris and that idiot should come in about one hour or so if they fly fast what i think they do since the idiot knows about the strengt of the 5th order one but i don't know if we can hold on for so long so let's prepare a plan for retreating first.]

[That qould problably the best but i think he had also several 3rd order, or well 4th order because of the ritual. so that would become a problem...]

"Ah shit, damn it im already flying at my full speed but i still need maybe 25 min or more to reach Lunaris. I just hope im fast enough and it won't break a fight out when im away i don't think they will survive that against several 4th order strong ones and one 5th order."

While flying for another half an hour at full speed he saw the clearing where Lunaris lived

[Lunaris come out, we need help, Fast!!] He began to scream towards the cave where Lunaris sleeps in at night

After a few seconds, Lunaris came out of the cave and looked towards the sky were he was flying

[What is it? What did you encounter? i hope you have a good new for me that i can tell God!]

[Well not now, but just come with me as fast as you can please... i will tell you when were on the way]

[I don't quite understand, but i will trust you, where do we need to go to?]

[Oh, towards the goblin Village, they need our help in the war]

While flying towards the one who informed him Lunaris asked

[Oh well then let's go, tell me details why while flying and what is going on exactly]

With that he talked with him about the thing's regarding them being Cave-Goblins and the ones in the Village being High-Goblins, the differences between them and that they did a Ritual to get stronger.

[So what you're saying me is, that there is a Leader that has the strenght of a 5th order and several other 4th order ones as a subordinate. That means despite them having the rank of a 3rd order one, they have the strenght of a 4th order one and the Leader is even one Order higher?? Really??]

[Well, that#s quite the information you have there, i didn't even know that there were two different goblin races, i only though of them as goblins and nothing more. It's surprising to find out otherwise]

[Yeah i also was quite shocked the moment i head him saying that but it seems to be true, at least i didn't hear him lying about it.]

When Lunaris thought about flying faster, he looked subconciusly at his Status, why, he didn't know that but when he looked at it he suddenly saw something that he was sure wasn't there before when he got it the first time

Within a second the Lunaris that was in front of the bird was suddenly gone. As if he wasn't there the moment ago.

[What? Huh? where is he? is that what he meant with a faster way? didn't he just vanish? I need to go faster, i want to ask him what that was...]

"Oh wow it seems to funtion, but where am i ?? and where is the other one? Was i that fast that he wasn't able to follow me in the slightest bit?"

"So, can i do it again buit this time longer and not just once and then stop? okay"

With that he once again flew as fast as the speed of sound, but this time he was able to do it for about 5 Minute before he needed to stop using it because he heard the sounds of someone fighting.

"It seems to be coming from the direction I've already flown to, looks like the war has already started, I hope they're still alive.

[Looks like we need to fight with his 4th orders first before fighting him. Can you fight against one alone?]

[Yes, that's absolutely no Problem, the problem is the Number...although they are 4th order as us, they seem to be quite weak but again, they are much and are more in number, they have a totel of eight 4th order ones.

I can only deal with 2-3 at one time but the rest is not possible, lets try to seperate them and kill them then, i think that would be easier since they are dumb and won't recognize this thing we are doing, but we can't be careless, we have to watch out for the Leader!]

[okey, i can deal with i think 4-5 since they can't fly like me so it would be easier for me]

[Just let me take care of them]

[Sure, then good luck and don't try to die, wouldn't benefit us both right? hahahaha]

The Leader said while charching into the army towards one 4th order that was standing there.

[Ok, seems like i need to do my job now!]

"Where's my first target, i should choose one that is more alone,....there, let me take him"

He said as he dived towards the goblin he had chosen to kill.

Since the 5th order Goblin didn't notice him fast enough, as he was busy fighting with the ones one the ground, he suddenly heard a weird 'Zisch' sound, and a second later he saw himself from behin but without a head in it's place.]

While using the confusion he created by killing the 4th order, he immediatly used his wings to cut through the bodies of the other Goblins, it might not seem like it, but his Wings actually are quite Sharp and dangerous if he uses them to fight.

[So, which do i kill now?]

When he was that, he already flew towards the second one suddenly the second Goblins runs towards me at full speed, jumps and is trying to grab one of my legs so that he can take me down to the ground and make so an advantage for himself

[Heh you want to take me down huh? then i'll use my wind cuts to kill you!]

The wind cuts were made by flapping the wings using a special technique. This movement creates a strong wind current, which is sent in the direction of the wing beats and even cuts through iron.

Since the goblin was already in the air and it was to late to dodge, he was hit straight in the face with these wind cuts, and his head too, fell down to the ground but this time there were two piecec from the head.

[Well, he died quite unsightly if you say so but how is it on the Leaders side?]

While asking himself that, he looked up to see the goblin leader killing his second 4th order

[Oh well, i need to finish this fast, how about i take both of the ones that are already charching towards me at one time?]

"Do i need to screech to confuse them? But i will also confuse my allies with that, so that's not good, then let me try to use wind cut repeatedly so that they can't attack me and need to be in defense!"

After about 3 min they gave in with dodging and just attacked madly while ignoring the fatal wounds they get.

"Oh man, did they finally decide to just madly push forward? That's a problem"

[Now then let me use my strongest move,

[TONADO!]

What he is doing, is that while fluttering his wings, he is creating a strong wind current that is enough to be a mini wind tornado but even so, it possesses monstronous Strenght. The wind is sucking in mainly enemies from the surroundings as well as one or two allied Goblins from here or there, the two 4th order ones who attacked him are slowing down and concentrating in order to resist the sucktion.

With that another two Goblins fell with heads down

After they were killed the Tornado also slowly ceased to exist.

[Since we didn't accept you offer, you attacked us instead?] he suddenly heard the voice of the enemies leader behind him.

[Oh don't be alarmed, it's only natural since im a 5th order, i won't kill you as shameless as you killed my subordinates, i will wait, you can team up with the other leader that is over there, but i have a question? were is the other one, your frined?]

[Oh him? well, i'll tell you when we start to fight, but i recon you don't want to know it...]

[Hmm, well well, why are you looking so tense, we are just talking here, no need to be nervous.]

He now said with a slight smile on his face as if he like he likes to play with him.

[Yes, we are just talking, that's right, oh yeah one question, can i talk to him before we fight or do i need to stand here with you?]

[What a weird question, but i already said that you can fight together, let it be, go, i will wait here after you have killed him]

After the Leader said that, he just stood there with closed eyes and looked like he didn't care if an enemie was in front of him.

"Should i attack him or not? it may be a good time, but he likely has a plan for that or an attack that will most likely kill me if i attack him now, so let's go to the leader and try to buy time so that Lunaris might arrive quickly enough and help us, even if I don't think we'll last long enough for that to be happening but hey it worth it."

After thinking about that he immediatly rushed in the direction of the goblin leader and grabbed him with his claws and took him towards the sky

[Hey, what are you doing?? let me kill him!!]

[Stop it you idiot, we need to buy a little more time, so that maybe Lunaris will come here and help us solve this, we need to fight the other goblin leader after all when we killed all of his 4th order ones, he even let me go and meet with you. I don't know what he was thinking, but we need more time, at least another 30 min before he will be here, but i doubt we can hold on for that long...]

[Oh, okay hmm, why not just fight as dumb as we can so that we will kill them together in a slower man than we did before, i think he will be suspicious of us thought but at least it should buy us another 10 minutes or so maybe even 15...]

[Let's do that, hopefully it will be 15 min]

So he let him back down, but this time they both fightet like they were kids, they did moves that confused the 4th order over and over again, but they didn't attack, or at least they didn't do it seriously so that he would die from that, but now the last one also came here and joined the battle.

It became a 2 vs. 2 but from the looks of it, it was just like they were playing with them since the enemy dazed mostly and received little attacks. with time going by, they managed to do it for about 13 Min before one of the two 4th orde ones colllapsed.

Perhaps due to excessive confusion from the screeching and children's play, his excessively broken memory couldn't take it anymore and shattered completely, causing him to die.

[There one goes, maybe we should let him attack us once or twice in a while?]

[Yeah, he may be able to survive longer because of that]

So they did that for another 4 minutes since he was already overused, it only made a difference of about 3 min longer, but 2 minutes is 2 minutes less time they need to survive against that evil leader.

[so you finally stopped that child's play over there and decided to fight with me? or were you just to fast at killing him? well i don't really care about him, they can be reproduced in only a month, it would be bothersome to collect the materials but so be it] he said with a shrug.

[I suppose i can tell you why my partner is away now right?]

[Hmm? so what? im not like those failures, i had a succesfull Ritual, that means i got streng of a peak 5th order, and im not any weaker than the ones who attained that themselve. [Well thanks for your bad information gathering ability, but there is one thing you has wrong, my Leader is a 6th order one and can kill you easily since he is also a peak one]

Silence, that was what was here now, absolute silence, with the shocked faces of the evil leader as well as the other leader.

[Please what?]

[You heard me right, my leader is a 6th order one. The Name is Lunaris!]

[Oh shit, he even has a name???? No, i need to flee, if he really has a name, that means he's a lot stronger than me.]

'the goblin leader who was on my side was just astonished by what i said, but he held back at saying anything and just looked at him and then looked back at the evil goblin leader'

[Oh? why do you want to flee now? Didn't you say you wanted to fight against both of us? I don't think you were such a W.I.M.P]

While flying as fast as he could, the sounds of fighting and the war became louder and louder. Just as he was about to arrive he heard an angry voice shoutin:

'WHAT?? DID YOU CALL ME?, A WIMP???'

"Was that the voice of the 5th order?"

"Let's watch the show and help when they need it, it's a good training"

"Oh, they startet, going full power from the start huh, not quite the way i would do it but hey im not the 5th order, it also seems like was angered because of someone calling him wimp. if i should guess i would think its my subordinate, he has a special talent to do that to other beings. you could say he is a walking/flying target for such things hahahaha"

"Let's see, using the Tonado right at the start, okey interesting, it uses quite a bit to produce one so i think he wouldn't be able to create one that can him, but it will make it harder to attack him and let's him have a better posibility of evading attacks from the evil Leader"

"The Village leader seems to prepare for a heavy attack with his great axe, yes as i thought, he made a heavy attack and uses spins to get faster, giving him more momentum and penetrating power so that he can make a wound on the evil goblin Leader"

"!!!"

"Well that was a short match, looks like they can't fight anymore, better help them now before they die"

With that he flew towards them at a breakneck speed and intercepted the attack from the evil Leader that was going to kill both of them.

He swung down his axe towards the two heads, but at this moment he saw another Bird appearing before him and intercepting the attack, he just stood there and took the attack head on but he didn't get injured by it.

[Who are you?]

[Me? oh excuse me, i didn't introduce myself, my name is Lunaris, im the Leader of this one and the one who made the offer towards the both of you] Lunaris said while holding his head high.

The evil goblin Leader instantly tried to run away without looking back but in an instant Lunaris was already in front of him again

[Why are you running? i just want to punish you for attacking my group and trying to kill them, oh and for attacking my Religion, you need to die so please, would you do it yourself or should i do it?]

[What are you saying? you are just an order higher than me, i won't succumb to you because of tha...]

The voice stopped and he fell to the ground, Lunaris had already killed him by slashing his wings across his neck, he died slowly while bleeding out of his throat.

[Soooo, finshed, what now? did you plan anything? well if you didn't, we would like to stop this war now one and for all, it's tiring so im going to kill the other still living goblins, you can just rest here, don't worry]

with saying that he vanished again and in the distance you heard the screams of goblins who died under him as fast he breaths.

[I have a few questions here if you don't mind to answer me....]

[Oh, sure just ask]

[Who the heck is he and why is he so strong? and fast?]

[Why do you need to ask why he is so strong and fast? that's exactly that what i don't know, the thing i know about him is just that he is my leader, he was the one who made us into a group, we gathered other members from our race that resides inside this forest and formed a group.]

[After we established our territory about 20 Years ago and lived there since then,we were searching for other members of our race, but in this region we didn't find them so we put that on hold and concentrated on having a stable live with the ones we have first, so that we can survive the winters and now we believe in the god he made us believe about 3 days ago. well that all]
