Nolan woke up all annoyed cuz of the alarm he set, he looked at his phone frowning. he surprisingly jumps up. his sleepiness and tiredness suddenly seemed like a crime. he got up rushing to get ready or else he'll miss the attendance. 

it was a rainy day. no vehicles were on watch. he kept looking both ways in hope of getting a cab to school. after a handful of time spent on waiting, nolan finally gave up and decided to ride his bicycle to school.

He had no umbrella and it would be dangerous to ride fast as the roads were slippery. he decide to take a risk for the attendance. its been four days since hes been missing the attendance class. if he goes late today too, the p.e. professor might eat him alive. 

While riding the bike, suddenly he gets reminded of last night. he almost forgot he made a friend last night. they decided to meet in school today and if he runs late he might not even get a chance to meet her cuz of the detention.

He hurries up. at that moment, he had become a pro cycler. he was risking his life in order to reach in time. 

Finally he reached the gate before closing, he was feeling like he won an olympic race. quickly chaining the cycle to the side, he looks around. he sees the p.e. professor doing his regular late attendance check. he tries to sneak away but a professor was walking by so he went and stood in line. he was already embarassed to have stand in the line when he is a master at sneaking away.

Additionally, the professor starts to mock him about how he never sees him in any attendance list. just then he was thinking he lost the chance to sit beside rebecca today, the professor calls out, "also you, miss rebecca, how come u never miss a chance to be late? maybe u should change ur home address to the school. so u dont have to travel all the way." nolan shockingly looks around, he sees rebecca peeking on him and when their eyes meet she suddenly smirks. 

One good thing came out of this long boring late lectures, nolan finally knew that her house was just as far away as his since he was having doubts whether she went to a strangers house last night to drive him away.

Walking back to the class, nolan doesnt get a chance to talk to her as she was very behind in the line. after a few classes , nolan goes to their chemistry class and sits beside her. letting out a sigh, he says,

"so youre not that punctual, are you?" 

"its just as you heard. i dont like wasting my morning on rushing to school when i could just go through a late lecture instead of a math class." 

"you at first, looked like a math person, though" 

"You for sure cant judge people." teressa comes and sits on the other side. then betty in front of her. bidding a hi, rebecca didnt talk much. while nolan here was going crazy as things turned out like he hoped for, even if teressa considers her just a friend, he hangs out with her the most.

"no" said rebecca, snapping fingers in front of him. he startled at her action. "no what?"

"She hangs out with whoever she's comfortable studying with." with that astonished expression on his face, nolan realized he may not be good at judging people but rebecca sure is.
