Getting Used To It

After hearing David's threat, the two children left the warehouse, and after that David called the messengers from the Davies family.

"Come on, get out!" said David invite Mesya and Romi.

David led the two children into the school clinic.

It just so happened that there was no doctor on duty at the clinic, so David intervened himself to get Mesya and Romi's medicine boxes.

"Here, for you," said David, handing Romi some cotton sheets and a bottle of alcohol.

"Okay, thank you," answered Romi.

"You can treat your own wounds, can't you?" David asked.

"Yes, David, I can treat it," replied Romi.

"Good" said David, then David turned to Mesya. The girl is still holding her face that was slapped by Edo

"Does it still hurt?" David asked Mesya.

"Just a little pain, but it's okay," answered Mesya.

"Here, let me treat you," David held Mesya's chin and he began to treat the wound on Mesya's face.

Actually, there are no significant injuries, just a few bruises, a bit red, on the face. But David kept it clean and treated it well.

"I'm okay, David," said Mesya.

"But here's a little bruise," said David.

"Wound like this doesn't matter to me, shouldn't the Davies family be strong," said Mesya.

"It's true but for us boys, if it's for a girl like you, we won't let someone to hurt you," replied David and he bandaged Mesya's wound with a small plaster.

Romi is watching David closely.

He didn't expect David to be so considerate of Mesya.

When talking to Mesya there is not a bit of a scary side from David.

He is such a patient and gentle man.

'Mesya who wasn't seriously injured was noticed by David, why not me?' Romi say in his heart, he is still treating his wounds alone.

But now her heart is a little relieved, because now Mesya already has someone she can trust from her adoptive family.

The next day, Mesya went back to school as usual, she got out of the car casually, thinking about Edo's fate.

"What if Edo, it's dead?" Mesya muttered, who was getting more and more upset. She was still thinking about Edo's safety, even though Mesya herself already knew that Edo was not a good boy.

But still, Edo shouldn't have been tragically killed.

"Mesya" shouted Romi as he ran to Mesya.

"No, what's the news about that naughty boy?" asked Mesya.

"He was reported missing by his family since yesterday? Even though yesterday we left him in the warehouse! Then why did he disappear from the warehouse?" asked Romi.

"I don't know either, Romi, but yesterday, David, seemed to have called trusted people from our family, they must have moved Edo," guessed Mesya.

"Oh yes, Sya, what do you think Edo is dead?"

"I don't know about that either, Rom! But I saw yesterday that Edo's wound was very serious, so it could be that he was dead," said Mesya.

Even though she already knows that Edo's safety is very small, Mesya is not as panicked as she used to be.

"But, if it is true that he is dead, why must it be David, the culprit? Even though I know that, David is from the Davies family, who are used to killing people.

But I don't sure, if David is the killer," concluded Mesya.

Mesya scowled in annoyance, but she still tried to be patient. Although her heart is very disappointed in Arumi. Because yesterday she had promised that she would not disturb Mesya, including not killing anyone who would hurt Mesya.

"Mesya, talking about David, I see if your brother is really very good, especially to you, he is very caring," said Romi.

"To a restaurant! You said yesterday you were going to take me there! But after school you immediately took me home!" Romi protested.

"Sorry, Romi, yesterday my mind was messed up, so I couldn't ask you to go," explained Mesya.

"Well then, let's just go to the restaurant today, later after school," suggested Romi.

"Okay, that's a good idea," said Mesya.

Meanwhile in the empty room behind the school, Edo just woke up from his stupor. Apparently he's still alive.

He staggered out of the long-neglected room.

"Ouch, my head?" A fishy smell wafted up, and it came from the bloodstains that came out yesterday from the wound on his head.

"Where am I?" he said as he looked around the room, it was very dark and stuffy.

Then someone suddenly tapped him on the shoulder.

"Ah!" shouted Edo who was surprised.

"Arthur?" said Edo stammered.

He still remembered well that it was David who had hit him yesterday, but somehow he managed to be in this place with Arthur.

'Is he going to hit me too? Like David yesterday?' Edo spoke in his heart.

"Edo, are you okay?" Arthur asked.

Edo was silent, and did not answer a word.

"Don't worry I won't hit you or touch you in the slightest, but on one condition," Arthur said.

"Conditions? What conditions?" asked Edo.

Arthur turned slowly towards Edo.

"The condition is, you must want to approach Mesya again and win her heart," Arthur said.

"But-"

"Do it, or do you prefer to die? Because I saved you from my family because I want to get a reward from you," said Arthur.

"Reward?" Edo looked confused.
