Talk with Alpha

*Natalie*

Me: midnight, do you think he will reject us?

Midnight: from what his wolf Dominic is saying, they would never reject us. But ultimately it is up to Lucas.

Waiting on his answer, I finally look up at him only to see that he was looking at me. There is no harshness or disgust in his eyes, which kind of threw me for a moment.

"I Alpha Lucas Martin, accept you Natalie as my mate and Luna." Lucas said while looking me in the eyes. To say I was shocked was an understatement.

"Are you sure you want me as a mate? People will look down on you for it." I stated while looking at him.

"I have never been more sure of anything in my life. You are my mate, regardless if you were rejected by that idiot. Hearing everything you have had to endure just makes me want to protect and love you more." Lucas said with love in his eyes.

"I, Natalie Moore accept you as my mate." I said while looking into his eye hypnotic hazel eyes.

The next thing I know Lucas wraps his arms around me. It takes me a second to realize he is hugging me. I immediately relax and wrap my arms around his neck, and bury my face in his chest. All the while he is rubbing my back.

Midnight: see I told you that he would not reject us.

Me: Yeah, I guess I should have believed you

"You do realize it is going to be hard to get my father to allow me to leave, right?" I asked Lucas while my face was still pressed to his chest. Man I cannot get enough of his scent.

"Well, we can go straight to Alpha Duncan…I have a feeling he will allow it." Lucas said. "Come on, let's go get this handled, then we can go find something to do."

"Okay." I said while Lucas got up. Once he was standing up, Lucas reached his hand out waiting for me to take it. As soon as I placed my hand in his, the sparks popped off and traveled up my hand.

While we were walking I was able to get a better look at Lucas. He was really tall, standing at roughly 6'8" tall. He had those hypnotic hazel eyes and chocolate brown hair that I just wanted to run my fingers through. I could tell he had muscles, but not too much/many.

While we were walking back to the pack house and inside we talked about everything. Our likes, dislikes, and hobbies. By the time we got to the Alphas office our conversation stopped. Lucas knocked on the door, and while we waited for an answer I became uncomfortable. Sensing this Lucas started rubbing soothing circles on the back of my hand.

*Lucas*

God I hate seeing her this scared. Just standing outside the Alphas office I can feel her shaking and sense her fear. She seems to be calming since I started rubbing circles on her hand. Just having her beside me is making me feel calm.

Kaden: everything okay Lucas?

Me: Yeah. Sorry I have not mind linked you. Come up to the Alphas office. I may need your assistance convincing the Alpha to let me take my mate home.

Kaden: oh shit, be right there.

"My Beta Kaden will be here shortly. We may need his assistance if it get to bad in there." I informed Natalie.

"Honestly, if it gets to that point just leave me here. I will not have your beta or you getting hurt because of me." Natalie replied. "I couldn't when have friends. Anytime I did my family would make sure that I never saw them again."

"Well, they are not allowed to keep you from your mate. It is one of the many laws that the council has set in place." I informed her.

Wondering what could be taking so long for the Alpha to tell us to come in, I knocked on the door again. Just then Kaden came around the corner and walked up to us.

"Kaden, this is my mate Natalie Moore and your future Luna." I introduced Kaden to Natalie.

"It is about time you found your mate Lucas. Hello Luna. It is nice to meet you. Alpha, has he not let you in yet?" Kaden asked.

Before I could answer Alpha Tyler yelled, "Come in."

Walking into the office followed by Natalie and Kaden, we make our way to the couch that is sitting in front of his desk. Once I sat down, I pulled Natalie on my lap. This action alone caused her to let out a squeak of surprise, and that caused me to laugh a little.

"Alpha Lucas, what can I do for you and the Beta?" Tyler asked without even acknowledging that Natalie was right there. That action alone was making me so passed off right now. So, taking a deep breathe I answered.

"Natalie is my mate, and I will be taking her back to Blood Moon." I stated with a little edge to my voice.

"And why would I allow her to leave the pack?"

"Because you know you and anyone else that stops me will hear from the council and your titles will be stripped." I stated in a calm voice, even though Dom was going crazy. Just when I was starting to have trouble wit Dom, Natalie squeezes my hand. This alone causes Dom to calm down.

"Fine, she can go with you to your pack. You guys will have to tell her father though." Tyler said with an evil smile.

"We are going to talk to him next." I said while helping Natalie to her feet along with myself.

After leaving the Alphas office I had Natalie lead us to where her father would be. She did not seem to happy about it. Like all she wanted to do was hide away and never come out of that hiding spot.

Kaden: Okay, so do you want to fill me in on what I have missed. And it seems like a lot to be honest.

Me: Yeah, I guess I can explain a little through mind link. However, this does not get out to anyone else.

I then proceeded to tell Kaden what I knew and what Natalie filled me in on. He had a better time controlling his anger than I had in mine.

"Let me guess, by the way Kaden's anger shot up, you told him a little about my past didn't you?" Natalie asked in a small voice.

"How…how did you sense my anger so fast? I thought I was having it pretty well." Kaden asked her with wide eyes.

"Oh, umm it just happens. I can sense others emotions. And since Midnight has been here it has gotten a lot easier to feel what others are feeling." Natalie told us.

Dom: so our mate is a empath. Something tells me that we will have to keep an eye out for more gifts Lucas.

Me: that is true

"Wait, who is Midnight?" Kaden asks.

"Midnight is my wolf. I got her almost two weeks ago, and I still have not shifted. I did not want this pack knowing I got her, they would make my life worse if they knew." Natalie stated. Needless to say Kaden and even my anger shot up. "Oh calm down you two, I am mad enough for the three of us."

"Alright, why don't you go ahead and lead us to your father. That way we can get you out of here." I told her while taking her hand in mine.
