Even though it has only been three and a half hours since Natalie's flashback, I still cannot get what she told me out of my head. All she wanted to do was use the pack library to do homework for school. However, Beta Moore beat her bad enough that she could not move for a day or two. Now I just have to keep reminding myself that she is safe and stronger than anyone I have ever known.

Dom: I cannot believe how strong our mates are.

Me: I know man, I just wish we could have found them sooner.

Dom: Me too, but we can keep them safe now.

Dom is right, we are going to protect them now. No one will harm them again, and if anyone managed to, I will show no mercy.

"Alright guys here is some lunch. I know you have not eatten anything yet." My mother said while walking through the door with a tray of assorted sandwiches.

"Thank you mom." I told her while giving her a kiss on the cheek. Then turned to the others and said, "Come on guys, lets have some lunch."

It did not take long for the guys and I to get a couple sandwiches for ourselves. But I did not see Natalie grab anything. Just to make sure, I looked over at her, but she was starring wide-eyed at a scroll with her hand shaking in front of her mouth. Getting anxious just by the expression on her face, I made my way over to her.

"Natalie, are you okay? What is wrong baby?" I asked her while crouching down in front of her.

"Y-y-you are g-going to want t-t-to take a l-look at this." She stuttered out slowly and handed me the scroll she was looking at. Feeling eyes on me I look around and find everyone looking at me. So I read the scroll out loud for them to hear.

"Prophecy of the Midnight Queen. When the wolf named Midnight, and her human, shift for the first time they will be like no other werewolf. With fur blacker than the night sky, and eyes more golden than the sun. They will always be the one and only Queen, who is a direct descendent of the Moon Goddess Selene. Although a Queen she may be, she is also the Goddess's Head Warrior. Her combat, hunting, tracking, and agility cannot be matched. Midnight and her human will have the ability to mind-link any and all werewolbes, aswll as have to power to heal. However, every rebirth brings a new unknown ability. If they are claimed by anyone, including their mate, before their first shift, they will be an ordinary wolf until the next 400 years has passed. Once the first shift has been completed, and they are claimed by their true mate, they will pass along abilities to that mate. Warning: after their first shift, evil will try to capture them to gain the powers meant for their mate. This will result in the end of the werewolf world should they be claimed by anyone other than their mate after the shift." After reading this, I looked around to everyone.

Kaden, Oliver, and Nathan were all looking at Natalie with their mouths open and eyes wide. Natalie was just looking down at her hands, like they were the most amazing thing in the world.

"Can I just say," Kaden started, still looking at Natalie, "I want you to help me with training after your first shift."

"Wait, what?" Natalie asked looking at Kaden in disbelief. "You have got to be kidding me?"

"No, I am not kidding. Also, I cannot wait to see your powers in action." Kaden said in excitement.

Natalie looked like she was trying to decide to either cry or laugh. So I grabbed her hand that she had in her lap, and started rubbing circles with my thumb. "Baby, everything will be okay. I will make sure nothing happens to you, and you will get through your first shift. I will make sure we have more guards stationed around the pack house, just to be on the safe side." I said to her. I just want her to realize that she is safe her, that she does not need to worry about anything.

"He is right Natalie. You are with people who consider you a sister, so you can bet that we are going to make sure that everything is taken care of so you do not have to worry about anything." Nathan said while smiling at Natalie. From the day that Nathan met her, I already knew he seen her as a sister. Otherwise I would have a major issue with my brother.

"I am going to put this in the safe, and then we are going to all take a break. Guys, I need you to start assigning guys to guard the pack house. Also, see about upping patrols on the borders. Natalie, you and I are going to go relax in the room. I want you to rest as much as possible before your shift." I said as I started moving towards the safe on the back wall in the private library.

After I was done putting the scroll in the safe, I took Natalie's hand and helped her off the bean bag chair. Keeping ahold of one of her hands, I started walking us out of the library, my office, and through the pack house up to our room. I know this is probably getting to her, and that Midnight is trying to help keep her calm. But if she does need to cry or scream, she will feel better by doing that in our room, and not in front of everyone.

Once in the bedroom, I made sure she was comfortable on the bed then climbed in with her. It did not take her long to roll over to face me and put her head on my chest. I moved my arm around to rest on her hip protectively.

"Baby, if you need to cry or scream you can. I know this is a lot for you and I do not want you to bottle it all in." I told her while I rested my chin on the top of her head.

"Honestly, I do not know what to feel. I guess it just has not hit me yet. Besides, you are calm. I thought after reading that scroll you would run for the hills. All this is going to do is cause trouble for the pack and I do not want that." Natalie said.

"Well, Dom and I figured that there was something special about you, and I always thought you were a queen. Then to find out that you really are? That right there feels like an accomplishment to me that I even thought it." I told her kissing the top of her head. "As for causing trouble for the pack, I can guarantee you that they will fight anyone just to make sure that you are always safe."

"Thank you for saving me Lucas. I do not know what I would have done if you had not been at Red River." She said while looking up at me with a small smile.

"You are welcome baby. Now get some rest, you are going to need as much as you can get before you shift." I told her as I tightened my arms around her and kissed her head one more time.

It did not take long before I could hear her breathing even out and small snores. However, it took me a little longer to get to sleep. There are so many things that I am going to need to do to ensure that she is safe. By the time sleep did claim me, I already had half of a plan formed on which borders to look out for if someone did attack.
