Red Arrow nocked an arrow onto his bow and with unmatched accuracy let it lose, hitting a crate that was going for his body, breaking it apart. He jumped over a car and took shelter as another crate hit it, breaking the windows.
"I didn't think Arrow would send his mutt to bring me in! No matter, I can rip you in two and get on with my life!" a mascular, red toned skinned man shouted. Red Arrow did not retort back as he nocked another arrow and waited. Taking a deep breath in, he timed just as Brick was about to reach car for him to push himself away from it using his feet then fired the arrow, an exploding arrow. It hit the car's gas tank, exploding and engulfing Brick.
"Aargh! Do you know how much it costs for a suit my size!" Brick roared in anger rather than pain like Red Arrow expected. The metahuman glared at him and was about to charge when Wonderwoman appeared in front of him, punched him unconscious. Red Arrow was stunned for a second before he became agitated.
"I had him!" he said to the Amazonian who turned to look at him.
"Speedy, the Justice League are requesting for your presence in a hearing," she said, sternly. Roy narrowed his eyes.
"Whose hearing?" Roy asked. He had heard that the other sidekicks had gone on an adventure on their own so he wondered whether this was a hearing for them.
"The answer will become apparent when you come with us," Wonderwoman answered, dismissively. Red Arrow started becoming suspicious.
"Alright, I will join you later," he said, back away only to bump into somebody. He turned around, his bow already swinging for the head only for it to go through Martian Manhunter's head.
"Sleep!" Martian Manhunter said as his eyes glowed green. Red Arrow found himself growing sleepy before he finally collapsed on the ground, deep asleep.
"That was not necessary," the Amazon told the Martian who just looked at her with the same stoic face.
"Batman told us we should not make a scene. Besides, he is the one on trial here," he said softly as he picked up Roy telekinetically. The two flew to a Zetatube where Martian Manhunter and Roy went in first, followed by Wonderwoman.
What the two did not realize was that a well build, blonde, caucasian man with a hokey mask on was watching all this with a frown on his face. He fished out a phone in his pocket and hit a speed dial number. The phone did not even ring twice before it was picked up.
"This is Sportsmaster speaking. Just as predicted, Roy Harper has been captured by the Justice League," he said before hanging up.
Roy groaned groggily as he opened his eyes. His memories came back to him, making him spring to his feet as his hands went for his bow and arrow only to find his back empty. It was then he noticed he was currently standing in a glass box been stared at the Justice League.
"So this is what you do to people who defy you? This is what happens when they don't follow your rules?" he screamt defiantly.
"I still can't believe you have been fooled by this cheap knockoff!" an eerily familiar voice said from his side. He looked the direction and saw a person his spitting image looking at him with anger. He was inside a glass box of his own while wearing a white shirt and pants, League issued, missing his right arm!
"Who are you?" Roy asked the one armed Roy.
"Roy Harper, the original Roy Harper, fucking clone!" the one armed Roy growler out the answer.
"Original Roy Harper? What are you talking about?" Roy asked in a daze.
"Three days ago, our proteges infiltrated Cadmus and recovered a clone of Superman codenamed Superboy. But, someone else decided to do the same at the same time but it appears this person had his goals and target, another clone of Superman! But, before he escaped with the clone, he let out that Roy Harper who claims to be the original Roy Harper!" Batman briefed him.
"That's impossible!" Red Arrow said, shakily. "I am Roy Harper, you cannot tell me otherwise. This...This might be a clone, a defect!"
"Who are you calling a defect, cheap excuse of materials!" the one armed Roy roared back, his left hand punching the glass. "You took over my life, made it your own and made everyone not look for me while I was rotting in ice hundreds of feet underground! You stole my life from me! My identity!" Red Arrow was stunned silent by this declaration. Hopefully, he turned to the rest of the League.
"Please, you have to believe me, I am the real Roy Harper!" he begged but a single shake from Batman crushed that hope.
"We have identified that the missing arm from Roy was the one used to make you! We have double checked it using magic even and it came back as positive. Speedy, you are his clone!" Batman told him. Red Arrow lost all the strength in his legs, making him fall on his butt. His eyes became glazed as he lost all meaning of life. Green Arrow could not help but weep silently, seeing the young man he had grown fond to reduced to this level by this revelation. Black Canary patted his shoulder comfortingly.
"Hey, now that you have gotten your answers, let me out and get rid of this...this clone!" one armed Roy said, hatefully.
When he had learnt that he had been replaced by his clone and life went on as if nothing happened while he was left inside a cryogenic pod, he had become angry! He had raged, swearing on killing Green Arrow for forsaking him, destroying the clone but Batman had been quick to subdue him. Now he was here, having proven his words true.
"No!" Batman sternly growled. Roy looked at him, his rage increasing.
"What do you mean, no? He is a clone! Nothing about him is real..."
"He is alive, breathing and santient this he is a living being. We are bound by law, we cannot kill him!" Superman explained.
"You cannot...Are you listening to yourselves! I am the real Roy Harper, me! He is made up of my own DNA so that means he is my property and I give my go ahead, you can kill him!" one armed Roy raged. Everyone was looking at him with disappointment and apprehension.
"No!" Batman said before clicking a button and the glass box holding the Roy clone opened from the top before it receded into the ground. Suddenly, the Roy clone sprung to his feet and headed to the Zetatube.
"Los Angeles!" he told the computer of his destination and the Zetatube whirled to live teleporting him to Los Angeles.
"Didn't see that coming," Flash said as he was as stunned as the rest of the League.
