Farewell, Cacey Summers: Part 1

Early Morning, The Day After the Incident

#Summers Residence, Early Morning

Sullivan Summers fell asleep while waiting for his daughter. Suddenly, a faint clicking noise woke him up. He had bad pain in his neck from sleeping in an awkward position. Her wife fell asleep on his lap. He was crossing both of his hands on his chest. However, he didn't move, lest her wife should wake up!

He slightly moved his neck to alleviate the pain, but it did not go away. The pain was sharp, and he groaned. Mrs. Summers felt the faint noise and turned her side on his lap. She was too exhausted to wake up. Sullivan squinted. They slept with the lights on. The light was too bright, as he just woke up. He looked in the direction where the noise came from.

“Was it the main entrance?” He cocked his head to focus, but there was no noise. All he could hear was the pitter patter of raindrops on the windowpane. He took a few deep breaths.
