A change in plans

"I wished some cliche had happened instead of this boring party but I guess I get what I get I can't complain." Odin muttered as he landed on the roof of a building.

"Now that I think about it every cycle I have repeated the same thing, especially on earth even if I have my memories or not I repeat the same things."

"I guess it's time for a change I always ended the game but this time I will kill the constellations this will be a greater challenge than what I'm doing now." Odin looked down and saw a group of robe men stealthily making their way through the narrow roads of the castle.

"It seems I'll have to change plans oh what fun!" Odin said excitedly as his clothes changed once more into a black t-shirt with pants.

He lifted his hand and pointed his finger at the group of men and softly said 'bang!' the men and the road were lit up in a blazing light. It lasted for a mere second but it was as if the sun had risen and covered all the kingdom in its light.

The guards quickly made their way to the energy source but saw nothing the only thing that remains was a high energy concentration but that was all.

'Hey tell the group I'll be leaving I'm going to the dungeon.' Odin sent a telepathic message to Scarlet.

'Dungeon there's none right now are you just going to drink and don't want me to bother you?' Scarlet responded.

'There is a dungeon the only dungeon that existed before the age and the only one that was never completed in its billion year existence.'

'You don't mean the land of the dead right?' Scarlet's voice trembled.

'Yup I'll be no contact for a while but I'll still receive your messages so don't worry.'

Odin quickly left the empire in a single step and arrived In Finland. The current Finland was much larger than the one known in the future being 14 times larger.

The land of the dead was a dungeon or another dimension separate from earth. The dungeon was often confused with Hel because of its vast snow-covered lands.

While it was not wrong to say it was like Hel taking the souls of those that died of illness or of age. it also took the souls of warriors and held fragments of those that had died from different worlds.

To enter three requirements had to be met the first was you had to have lost someone the second was you must have cherished memories and the third was you must wish to bring them back.

If these were fulfilled you will be guided to the dungeon by that lost one it moved every hour so it was hard to find it by yourself and even then you wouldn't be allowed to enter without a lost one.

Odin took a deep breath and started to calm his mind. It took a long time for his thoughts to slowly quiet and once he was done it had been five hours. His mind was deathly quiet no thoughts passed him and he slowly dove into his memories.

He focused on the memories from when he was 13 to 34 and slowly started to take certain memories and made them into one entire film. A soft chime of a bell rung around Odin but before he could open his eyes a woman's voice spoke.

"Do not open your eyes or you will remain in the realm of the dead." her voice was gentle it warmed odins soul giving him energy that he had long lost.

"Dead or alive I care not as long as it is with you but you are only her divinity after death and no her," Odin said his voice contained many emotions he opened his eyes and moved towards the woman.

"Death cannot contain me I am its creator I am the true essence of death while you are the very essence of life who control all and I only follow your will." Odin said as a soft red light covered his entire body.

"Let us go let me see this land of the dead." Odin said as he walked ahead of the woman.

The woman smiled before teleporting ahead of odin and guiding him to the dungeon.

"You have changed." the woman said.

"I know." Odin said as he looked at the frozen dirt that he walked on.

"You are consumed by wrath and lust."

"I know."

"You should let them go they do no good for you."

"I know."

"You still won't change?"

"Not until I'm done."

"I see I truly have failed you."

"You failed no one it was I who failed you!" Odin shouted.

"I remember when I used to comfort you."

"You use to lay your head on my lap and enjoy the fresh air as we watched the sun set."

"You always told me your woes and your hopes."

"I remember the days when we use to fight together slaying beast and men alike."

"You always were kind and helped all you saw while I was cold and overprotective of you."

"Do you remember when you gave me that snow globe on that winter day?"

"Yes, it took me weeks to find it." Odin smiled as he remembered that event.

"You also proposed to me on that day and your gift at our wedding was an entire kingdom."

"It's now a grand empire that spans all over the universe but our home is still the capital." Odin said.

"I spoke to our son when I met him in the death lands."

"Ah yes Vivi was truly a great emperor he became the emperor of defiance." Odin said proudly.

A bright light shone around the two and the scenery changed from a frozen forest to a vast chilly sea. The sound of thunder boomed in the vast distance and a longboat resided near the two.

"This is the place I hope you return safely." the woman said before disappearing.

Odin walked to the longboat and saw a few people sitting and holding oars. The men were tall and buff Odin looked smaller with his defined body shape compared to the men who looked like pure muscle.

Odin got on the ship and took the last oar and sat down. A man at the front stood up and looked at the rowers before nodding and his bellowing voice resounded in the vast sea.

"Row!"
