Chapter 21: The Looming Threat
“They’re terrified of rabid wolves.” There was a smile evident in the silky voice.
“Of course they are. We’re rabid wolves, after all.” Another voice, just as arrogant as the first.
“They’re humans. They’re nothing more than a bunch of neanderthals.” A third voice filled with anger, a stranger with a grudge.
“We’ve done an excellent job of showing them just how dangerous we can be. Most packs won’t fight against us since we aren’t getting so close to their so-called territory.” The second voice spoke up again.
A man with short blonde hair and cold brown eyes stared back at the other wolf shifters in his pack. Their numbers were small, surely smaller than most packs of course, but they were better off this way. Each and every one of them knew exactly why they were here, why they were in this pack.
