Manipulation
Zuri screamed as an owl flew over them. She heard Jaden laughing and tightening his grip on her, so she dove to shield her head. There was a big velvet rug set out, and there were candles placed in various locations around the hilltop. Dishes of many shapes and sizes as well as fruit platters were on the rug. The moonlight breeze added to the allure of what appeared to be a magnificent scene. Large ribbons were tied to boxes in the middle of the rug that resembled gifts. If Zuri was correct, there were nine of those boxes, and she couldn't help but wonder what was in them.
"Its midnight…" Jaden said to Zuri, making her stand upright to look at him. "And I must say, this dress looks lovely on you…"
