Stop Speaking To Her Like That!

"That house has a lot of memories in it, Valerio. And that is why I want to buy it. I get that we are enemies since I am not your kind, but I must buy that house back. Please." He pleaded.

Valerio let out a soft breath and turned around to look at him.

"Ileus, it's like you are unable to calculate the mathematics here, let me help you. See, it's been a year since I lived in that house, and yes, I do love it. Whatever memories you speak of, I do not care. It is no longer there because I have spent a year in that house."

"So please... don't disturb me about it again." He spoke with an annoyed look on his face and turned around to leave.

"How is your little sister?" Ileus suddenly asked, causing him to halt his steps.

"What is your deal with Leia?" Now confused, Valerio turned to look at him with his brows crumpled deeply.

"She looks exactly like my brother's dead wife. They also share the same name. Everything about them is the same." He shrugged. "I can't help but think that I am looking at her when I see your sister. Maybe she's her reincarnation." He chuckled. "It's good to see you again, Valerio. Hopefully, our next conversation will go more smoothly than this."

He chuckled and walked out of the meeting room before Valerio could utter a word.

"Master, do you know the brother that he is speaking of?" Alex inquired out of a bit of curiosity.

"Yes and no. I didn't really know him that much. All I know is that he was once the wealthiest man in the world. But he vanished unexpectedly, and no one has heard of him since. That's all I know. His wife... no, I'm not familiar with her."

Valerio clarified, and Alex nodded his head.

"Let's go." He said, and Alex took his hand in his as he led him out of the meeting room.

...…

Ileus halted the moment he arrived outside the company.

He pulled out his phone from the pocket of his jacket and dialed someone's number.

The unknown person picked up.

[hello, uncle]

"Layana." With a half-smile on his face, Ileus uttered the name.

[How did it go?] The person, who was Layana, asked.

"As expected, he disagreed. There is absolutely no way he would sell it. He loathes us, you know." Ileus explained.

[I see… What about his little sister? Did you get to see her?] She inquired.

"No, but don't worry. I think you will get to see her." Ileus smiled as he replied, and a sigh fled Layana's nose before she cut the call.

Ileus let out a deep breath and strolled towards his car.

From far up in the company office, Valerio stood in front of the huge glass window with Alex standing beside him.

"Keep an eye on him." He ordered and Alex nodded.

(Avalanzo Mansion]

Everly smiled as she folded the last of Valerio's clothing

She carefully placed them in the drawer in his dressing room and let out a profound breath.

She had successfully managed to get half of his clothing into the master bedroom since he had suddenly said he would prefer to stay there from onwards, even though his previous room was getting fixed.

"I feel so hungry." She looked down at her tummy which was growling and proceeded out of the room.

She shut the door, then made her way downstairs.

She strolled into the kitchen and her eyes instantly sparkled the moment she smelt what was her favorite.

"Is that spaghetti and meatballs???" She frantically asked the cook inside the kitchen, and a bit confused at her excitement, the slightly chubby cook nodded at her.

"Yes."

"I want some. Am so hungry." She smiled widely and the cook who went by the name of Nehemiah chuckled softly.

She handed her a bowl filled with one and a fork.

Everly received it from her, with twinkling eyes, and inhaled the aroma as she proceeded to leave the kitchen, but unbeknownst to her, she mistakenly bumped into someone, causing the bowl to slip from her hands and fall to the floor.

The shattering sound resounded and a pained glint quickly flashed in her eyes.

"My spaghetti." She shrieked under her breath and lifted her head to look at the person that she had bumped into.

"Do you not look where you are going?" She questioned.

The person whom she had bumped into furrowed her brows at her as her blue eyes stared at her.

"Who is this?" The person questioned Nehemiah who had rushed up to clean the mess.

"M-miss Cloe." Nehemiah slightly bowed to her and an even more ugly expression emerged on Chloe's face.

"I asked you who she is, you pig. Answer my question." She glared.

Everly, who was now annoyed by the fact that she was speaking so disrespectfully to Nehemiah, frowned at her.

"She has a name you know. So stop speaking to her like that." She scowled at her!
