Impossible….

The first group of people, which included Lucius, Logan and the rest of the guests, to arrive at the party went into the huge white building that screamed wealth.

Their judging eyes glanced at each other, trying to see who looked better, who dressed better, and even who looked less rich than the rest.

A white Lamborghini arrived at the location next, and parked beside the rest of the expensive cars in the parking lot.

Two bodyguards stepped down and pulled the door open.

No one other than Ileus and Layana stepped down.

Layana's green eyes glanced at the huge buildings, and she turned her head when Ileus walked to stand beside her.

"Shall we go in?" He asked.

Layana nodded her head at him, and he interlocked his arm with hers before walking her into the building.

They stepped inside, and instantly all eyes fell on them, specifically on Layana, who looked unreal.

She was just so unbelievably lovely, some had their glass slip out of their hands in a daze.

Scorn filled Layana's heart as she walked away to the round white table with Ileus to sit, not liking the look they were giving her.

"They have yet to come." She spoke.

Ileus nodded, with his eyes glancing around in search of Valerio. "Hopefully, he will come." He smiled and sat down.

.....

A black SUV suddenly arrived a bit late and parked in the parking lot, which was already filled with so many cars.

"Wow!" Everly exclaimed, realizing just how big of an event this was going to be.

There were so many expensive cars and people dressed so richly walking into the building.

"This seems really big." She murmured, suddenly nervous.

Noticing it, Valerio grabbed her hand and half smiled at her.

"It's not a big deal, so don't worry. You will be fine, okay?" He assured her.

________

Within the building, people began murmuring among themselves.

[Will he come?]

[no idea. Wasn't he meant to be here first? I mean, his presence is the most needed] another muttered.

[indeed. Is it possible that he won't attend this year?] They wondered among themselves.

Chloe, a lady with blonde hair and gray eyes, whirled her wine within the glass cup at the bar.

She took a sip, with her eyes intently fixed on the huge door.

"You are waiting for him, aren't you?" Her brother, Ramon, asked with an annoyed look on his face.

"Yes, Ramon, I am. I wonder if he will come. Almost everyone has arrived." She complained.

"Well, if he doesn't come, you can't do anything about it, can you?" Ramon inquired, and she shook her head at him.

"True, I can't do anything about it, but I will be sad. Also, I want to apologize to him." She sighed deeply.

"Huh? Apologize for what?" Ramon questioned.

"For the things I said to him, Ramon. I need to apologize to him." Chloe beamed awkwardly at him.

Ramon's face twisted into the most horrible expression, and disbelief glinted in his eyes.

"Seriously? Chloe, what exactly is wrong with you? You are blindly in love with this guy. I mean, c'mon, he is the one that hurt you and threw your friendship away!"

He emphasized his words in pure anger, and Chloe immediately glared at him.

"Leave me alone, Ramon!" She scowled at him.

Ramon stared at her and pessimistically shook his head.

"I can't believe you, Chloe. Do whatever you want; I won't say another word." He took deep breaths and turned to the bartender.

"One glass of wine, please."

...

In another area of the building, Lucius turned to Logan.

"Are you sure that Valerio will come?" He questioned.

"I'm sure he will. After all, his presence is most needed here, no? So I don't think he will miss this." Logan elucidated and finding sense in what he said, Lucius nodded.

Rose, who stood beside them, looking beautiful as usual, bit her lower lips.

'Valerio, please do not come. They will ruin your life if you come." She fiddled with her fingers with a face filled with guilt and raised her voice when shocking gasps from people began to fly into her ears.

"Huh?"

A frown settled on her face, and she turned around to look at the door in confusion, only to still in instant shock.

Her brain went blank as the purse in her hand slipped and her eyes dilated heavily in shock, to the point where it looked as though it would pop out of its socket.

"Impossible…"
