Journey

Ava finally took a break from her long Journey.

She's lost..

She brought out her wooden water bottle and opened it. She placed the mouth of the water bottle on her's, and raised it but nothing came out. "huh?" She raised it higher, causing it to turn upside down yet no even a drop of water touched her tongue. "Haaa..." She sighed, and she scratched her itchy thigh close to her kneel. She don't know how long she would last due to the hash weather and hunger. She has eaten the last bread she has, and she's beginning to get hungry, and the sun is too harsh that she feels really uncomfortable. she has to scratch her body this minute and in the next., but she will endure.

She has to endure.

For the sake of Lydia and thana.

She encouraged herself. "I have to find a stream, at least to drink water.." She sighed then stood up with the help of her staff.

After a while..

Ava saw a stream ahead, and she was overjoyed that she forgot about her kneel and she hasten her steps but she was forced to stop when she felt a pang in her kneel. She didn't wince she just stayed still allowing the pain to slowly subside then she walked slowly one at a time and with each step she took the staff helped her maintain her balance. alas she was at the stream.

She brought out her wooden water bottle then she held the staff with her right hand given the wound was on her right kneel, so she lowered her back keeping her legs straight. She scooped water into her bottle then she straighten her her back and she gulped the whole water. She repeated it three more times and then her stomach was filled with water. She did it one more time, but she didn't drink the water, she placed it on the ground beside her, and then she slid her right leg which has the injury slowly keeping it as straight as possible then her second leg accompanied, hence she was sitting on the bank of the stream. She unwrapped the piece around her forehead and poured a little water from her wooden water bottle on the piece, then she wiped the blood stains that was plastered on her forehead close to her wound. Afterwards she washed the piece, and flapped it, before wrapping it back around her forehead. She did the same to her kneel and her dirty shoes. and when she was through with taking care of her wounds, she filled her bottle and pit it in her bag. She then stood up with the help of her staff, then repeated the procedure she used when she wanted to drink water to wash her legs. After that, she wore her shoes which were almost dried.

"I've rested enough, I should continue my journey.." She said then started walking.

"The Forest is strangely quiet.." she wondered as she kept walking deeper into the Forest. She halted when she heard a sound. like trees falling, and immediately birds flew away as they chipped from that direction. Her grip on the staff tighten, and her eyes glued at the birds who were still evacuating the area.

She breath out, then headed for that direction..

Lydia woke up with a throbbing head. "Ouch...sssss." she winced then she lifted her hand to touch her head, but her hand touch a soft fabric that was wrapped around her forehead.

'thana!' She thought and she got up immediately but she fell to the floor. Her body aches all over, yet she stood up again. She stood for few seconds to balance herself before she took a step. she approached the door, but she barely gotten close to the door, when the strong force threw her back again.

Does he really wants to imprison her here for life?!!

She is really frustrated.

She only wants to see thana to be sure she's alright, is it too much to ask??

The girl has never been away from home or her family, how is she doing?? is she scared?? Is she crying?? Lydia just wanted to rip Axel apart for locking her up I'm his room, and suddenly she screamed so loud with all the energy left in her as she released the tears she has kept imprison. "Arrrrhhh!!!!!!" she yelled out all the frustration, fear, and pain she had locked for so long. Immediately a familiar face she recognized rushed in.

Zak.

He panicked as he carried her in a bridal style and laid her on the bed.

"P-princess what happened?"he scanned her face looking for any other injury that had made her scream so loud, he's sure the Prince is rushing here right now. just as he, Axel rushed in.

Zak quickly step aside and he lowered his head a little and Axel nodded for him to leave.

Lydia's head was really throbbing, she felt like it was going to explode, she held it tight, turning to the right and left as the tears came down freely. " L..Lydia.. " Axel called softly, as he just knelt close to her confused on what to do. worry etched all over his face. Lydia was too in pain to hear someone was calling her. and when the pain was unbearable, she gave up and fell unconscious.

"Zak!!" Axel yelled, and immediately Zak rushed in. " fetch the doctor. " he ordered. "yes." Zak nodded and left Immediately.

Axel looked at her flushed face her eyes were swollen, and her nose were red. that instant a wave of regret hit him. "Am sorry.." he whispered, as took her hand in his and gave it a little squeeze.

in no time the doctor rushed in, and Axel stood for the the doctor to examine her.

"what happened?" Axel asked once the doctor has examine her.

"your highness, he head just suffered a little damage but it okay, she will recover soon, but if she should her head on anything again, I fear her condition will be critical." the doctor reported as he lowered his head. Axel nodded his head thoughtfully as his gaze landed on Lydia..

"Zak see him out and pay him." he said and walked to Lydia, and Zak took the doctor out of the room.

Axel sat close to her and he took her hand in his, as he stared at her sleeping face, which would twist and straighten back..

Ava was almost at the area where she had heard trees falling from. she looked around as she walked, her kneel was really aching her, but she has to keep moving. When she came out of the trees, she saw a little path.. she looked ahead where the path headed to and with a shaky breath she started walking on the path. she walked few meters but she immediately halted when something ran past her from behind.
