Chapter 1: The beginning

It all started that short summer vacation, I couldn't possibly forget the sharp ear-piercing scream 'my mother' made when she discovered that her daughter, my twin was no longer breathing. It was horrifying just thinking about it.

As if that wasn't enough, I was blamed for it. I literally had nothing to do with Maya's death yet everyone seems to suspect me first, I admit that we really never get along but I'd never think of murdering her.

Anyways, as I quickly made my way towards the noise, I found my mom kneeling beside her corpse. It was so obvious who was responsible when I saw her dreadful face but then again, who would believe me?

I wept like there was no tomorrow, my mom just kept saying it was my fault and I couldn't understand why she kept saying that. Why, why was it my fault?

When the police officers arrived and asked who the supposed parents suspected, my dad's gaze met mine and I was shocked when he pointed to me. 'Of course, threatening someone out of anger definitely got me as the main suspect'

"Mr Collins, may I know your relationship with her, is she you daughter's friend and how would you rate their relationship?" One of the police officers questioned me after Dad told them how bad the relationship between me and Maya was and how I always threaten to beat her up.

Ever since that day, the relationship between me and my parents was at an arm-length. My name is Page Collins and I know it sounds nothing like my sister's name, I often ask my parents why our names are so different unlike other twins whose names often sound alike. They'd just always say they weren't expecting twins. I'm just 16 and even though I've lived in my sister's shadow since childhood, I would never think of killing her and not even anyone.
