CHAPTER TWELVE: WHY ARE WE RUNNING?

Maya’s P.O.V

The anticipation was killing me. The suspense.

’What if he is here as a distraction?’

“Ahem!” Sebastian woke me from my train of thought.

“So, you are saying my father is what dead, and my mother lives with a man I know nothing off, sharing the same bedroom. So you are telling me that they are sharing my father’s bed, in my father’s chambers? You are really not taking this situation, me seriously!” I was beginning to fume.

My anger was on the highest scale known to mankind although, I could tell it didn’t phase Sebastian. He was busy fidgeting with his fingers. He looked really worried and serious. I turned around frustrated and turned back looking at him, studying him.

He just shook his head side to side with a discontent face.

“Agh! Sebastian, if you are not going to say something to make me believe you come in peace I will…”

“Yes!” he half yelled cutting me.

“Yes to what?” I questioned not sure what I really wanted to hear. He seemed adamant.
