Looking at Mateo I can't believe this is happening, when did life become such a bitch.

How could my dad leave us in this mess.

A tear rolled down my cheek.

"Time is running out Audrey, what will it be?".

I looked at him finding it difficult to speak. I never pictured my life this way.

I never pictured myself being married to the most hard-core and dangerous man or my brothers being part of a gang.

I have to make the ultimate sacrifice and give up my own life so that they can be happier and live a full life.

I nodded and looked at Mateo "I accept your proposal to be your bride to settle the debt my dad left behind".

"What will become of my brothers how will they live? "

Mateo looked at me and smiled.

"Your brothers will be cared for don't cry, I'll send them to a boarding school in London they'll survive".

Trying to make sense of it all.

I nodded it's far better then what they have right now. Maybe this Is the best for them both to leave this place and have a good life good education and taken care of.

"Now go inside and resign, your life begins with me tonight".

"So soon?".

I asked Mateo.

He nodded and motioned for me to leave the car.

I walked in the Diner where Joe still sat Sally was behind the counter helping a customer.

How was I going to leave the only family I still had left, how do I explain I'm leaving with this hell of a man.

Sally will be so furious and Joe so sad this can't possibly be happening.

I went straight to Sally and called her aside, she quickly rushed to me as we spoke one side.

"Sally... I...Sally I have to leave."

Sally looked at me shocked.

"I don't understand honey".

I felt a lump in my throat as I held back my tears.

"Sally... my dad he was in serious trouble and left the twins and I in serious debt it was me or them, so I decided it would be me I'm marrying Mateo to pay up my dad's debt".

The tears pooled up In Sally's eyes.

"No sweety...no there has to be another way..."

Sally made this so darn hard.

"I have to go, his waiting for me".

Sally held onto my arm, and shook her head she looked at me with pleading eyes begging me not to go.

" Bye Sally, thank you". I pulled myself away and grabbed her in my arms for a full hug.

She cried and I ran to Joe without any explanation I said my goodbyes and I left the Diner.
