"Don't move....."

Winter voiced made Johnathan who was about to retreat his step pause . He believed that his boss would save him so he had absolute trust in his boss.

If winter could read inner thoughts of others , he would be speechless from his thoughts . Winter didn't want to take risk for strangers but if they are related or friend them he won't mind taking risk . So Jonathan and his friends are more like a worker or like partners . He will provide them with food and shelter , then they will follow his orders and help him with their unique talents .

It's more like a mutual benefits and it always works as long as there is trust between the two party.

Jonathan held his breath and stood motionless . His whole body was warning him that if he moved a bit , the zombie dog will kill him with one bite so he didn't dare to move .

Winter slowly started to equip his weapon because he didn't want to take a risk , If the zombie dog was alarmed from his move then it will surely attack Jonathan who will get scratched or bitten by it. Even through he can easily kill the zombie dog but if the dog bit Jonathan then he will trun into zombie within a hour so he tried to handle the situation very seriously.

No matter what , Jonathan was a person who has the potential to be awakened so Winter didn't want to lose these type of person that easily.

Mark who was behind them wanted to say something but seeing the standoff between them he closed his mouth and looked at winter for help.

Winter shook his head and equipped the [Bow & Arrow ] . He aimed at the beast head and slowly pulled backwards , after that he let go off the string.

The Zombie dog could feel it's death coming so it didn't dodge but wanted to bite Jonathan leg . But pity the PITBUL DOG head was short and Jonathan dodged the bite narrowly .

The arrow stuck at the dog head clearly which ended it's life . Seeing its head rolling once side while the bloods were spreading over the body . At the same time winter heard the notification from the system

Winter turned back to the truck and said calmly .

"Let's go back we are reaching our destination already " .

Jonathan secretly wiped out his cold sweat and gave a thumbs up sign at winter back while mark ran back to drive .

Soon they resumed their journey to the super market without any difficulty .

Winter looked at the stats of Evolution core -1 with curiousity . because this is the first time he obtained the Evolution core so he didn't know what's it use was but luckily the system shows him it's stats which made him understand what's it use was .

When he saw the info he was somewhat disappointed because he still don't have any pet beast to tame and this thing only increased it to Evolution - 1 so he felt that this was useless . But suddenly he remembered something and took a green stone from his bag . The stone was obtained when he fought against in research centre . It's also had same use as this Evolution core so he couldn't help but compare them slightly . Suddenly a strange thing happened which made him show a surprise expression on his face .

[ENERGY STONE - A MUTATION OF B- VIRUS WITH THE ???? ELEMENT WHICH CREATED ENERGY STONE . CAN BE USED TO EVOLVE MUTANT BEASTS WHICH ARE BELOW EVOLUTION - 2.

When he held the two stones together a system notification appeared in front of him.

[DING ! SYSTEM HAS DETECTED THAT HOST HAS FAMILIAR EVOLUTION STONE ! DOES HOST WANT TO COMBINE THESE TWO ITEMS INTO ONE ?

Seeing this he was surprised , he didn't knew that the system had this Function too . When he saw that the chance of failure is only 10% he decided to take a gamble of it and see what it's looks like when it's combined . so he choose yes !.

Winter shook his head and decided to wait for the time limit to end so he just observed Mark driving skills .

15 minutes later !

Mark stopped at a mall building which was broken and blackened slightly from the burning.

"Boss we are here ."

Winter who was thinking absent-mindedly said

"Hmm then let's refill what we need first"

Mark nodded

"Got it boss"

Soon three of them steeped out of the vehicle and scanned the surrounding for any kind of zombies . But they didn't find any zombies or mutants beast which made them relaxed but winter still looked at the mall and frowned .

He felt some people living inside the mall but he didn't know whether they are normal people or zombies .

He didn't bother about it anymore and said to the two people

"Let's go".

They arrived infront of a worn down Mall entrance . The Mall front door was opened wide while corpses were on the stairs with strong of blood smell . Winter couldn't help but frown and said in low voice

"Looks like we have company here !"

Hearing this Jonathan and mark became alert and looked at their surroundings cautiously . They thought that he was refering to the zombies but he what he said it was something more .

Winter said coldly

"Interesting there are normal people here"

Jonathan and mark exclaimed

"Wow there is still people hiding here?"

They felt that only few people would hide in this type of building since this place all had opening and there was no safety if zombies or mutants appeared here but they felt it was ridiculous to hear that there are people here .

Winter Cold voice made them shudder

"You guys have too much time"

As he said he went inside while the two of them followed him closely . But they knew that their Boss was displeased by something so they looked at each other in confusion .
