Chapter Two

The distance was almost unbearable. They argued for 3 straight hours and then , unable to argue anymore, they broke up. Marian spent the night in tears; for Tim, it was already morning. When Marian woke up she called Tim " I'm sorry", Marian said. "I'm sorry, too", Tim answered. "Let's never do that again". It had been the longest eight hours of Marian's life.

When Tim returned from Brooklyn, thay took turns visiting each other on weekends, twice a month. And each time, Marian renewed amazement at how easily Tim's arm wrapped arpund Marian's body, how perfectly her head fit into Tim's armpit as they snuggled.
